Yesterday was amazing. Into Europa and kicking out some rivals is great fun. But it’s been a terrible season and his team selections and tactics are a huge part of that. I think now is time to part ways and he can be proud of himself and the team for ending it on a high note.
If he does stay...
I’m really glad his time here ended on a high with two young academy players he nurtured winning us the FA cup against 115. But he still definitely needs to go.
I think the criticism aimed at the club here is unfair. It’s unlikely they leaked and would much rather have all this drama happen after the cup final. Ten Hag has been dead man walking for weeks but with the manager movements hotting up the club have been forced to start the new manager...
I would much prefer a talented young manager like McKenna to a jaded ex-Chelsea manager. He knows the pressure of this club and the league and I actually think our young squad would suit him. This would be genuinely exciting.
He doesn’t deserve a squad place over others mentioned already. He is also highly unlikely to play much even if he makes the squad. So best for everyone if he takes some time off instead rather than bench warming and helping others train.
Poor lad. Unsurprising he made mistakes, he’s really inexperienced and this team is a shit show. Hoping he responds well as we need him for the rest of this season.
