Good on the club for recognising their mistake and trying to move him on while he still has some resale value. Under Woodward we'd have given him 3 years to try and realise his potential along with a contract extension to protect his market value.
This is a great idea. We've literally never tried giving a fan favorite former striker the manager job before. I can't think of a single thing that could possibly go wrong in this scenario.
The silver lining, I guess, is that of that lot, only Sancho and Anthony have contracts which go on past the end of the next season. Getting rid of those two though will be extremely difficult.
Winger and central midfield are two positions that really showcase how far United truly have fallen.

Thought he looked decent against Leicester. I don't think it's a coincidence that when he's given a limited, well defined role in an organised team alongside a quality midfield partner he looks way better.
Nicky Butt was a great squad player. The CMs United have now with the possible exception of Eriksen aren't fit to lace his boots.
Any love for Diego Forlan or Wes Brown yet?
