Leicester City Football Club (nicknamed The Foxes, The Blues, City, and Blue Army), are a professional football club based in Leicester. Leicester City was founded in 1884 by a group of old boys of Wyggeston School as "Leicester Fosse", the club joined The Football Association (FA) in 1890. The club also joined the Midland League in 1891, and were elected to Division Two of the Football League in 1894 after finishing second. Leicester's first ever Football League game was a 4–3 defeat at Grimsby Town, with a first League win the following week, against Rotherham United at Filbert Street. The same season also saw the club's largest win to date, a 13–0 victory over Notts Olympic in an FA Cup qualifying game. In 1907–08 the club finished as Second Division runners-up, gaining promotion to the First Division, the highest level of English football.

Leicester City have enjoyed moderate success through the years: holding a joint record 7 second tier titles, winning 3 League Cups, and reaching the final of the FA Cup 4 times – prior to the odds-defying Premier League title win in 2015–16, their first top tier title, becoming one of seven clubs to have won the Premier League since its inception in 1992. Most Leicester fans consider Coventry City to be their main rivals, and the game between the two clubs has become known as the M69 derby. Leicester also have rivalries with Nottingham Forest and Derby County, and an East Midlands derby is any match involving two of these three clubs. They have been playing their home games at The King Power Stadium (originally named Filbert Way) since 2002.

Huge changes hopefully on order to get "fresh" legs for Pool.

    Play 352

    De Gea

    Bailly
    Lindelof
    Tuanzebe

    Williams
    Matic
    Van de Beek
    Telles

    Mata

    Greenwood
    James

    DDG
    Williams - Bailly - Tuanzebe - Telles
    Matic - VDB
    Greenwood - Mata - James
    Cavani

    Amad if James isn't fit.

    Team should be...

    --------------------De Gea--------------------
    Williams--Bailly--Tuanzebe--Telles
    ---------------------Matic---------------------
    ----------Mata--------------VDB----------
    Shortire--------Amad--------Elanga

Subs: Henderson, AWB, Lindelof, Shaw, Pogba, Fernandes, Cavani, Rashford, Greenwood

Hopefully James and Martial can be fit to make the front 3 look slightly less raw

    de Gea
    Williams Bailly Lindelof Telles
    McTominay Matic
    Greenwood van de Beek James
    Cavani
    ---
Henderson; Wan-Bissaka, Shaw, Tuanzebe; Fred, Pogba, Mata, Bruno; Rashford

Hopefully able to take one of Cavani/Greenwood off early in order to start against Liverpool, but could be pushing it.

    De Gea
    Williams Bailly Tuanzebe Telles
    McTominay Matic
    Mata Van de Beek James
    Greenwood

If we lose, it makes it really difficult for Liverpool to get 4th. Plus we'll be fresh for the Liverpool game. Obviously try to win, but our 2nd team tends to not do so well so I'd be surprised.

Full reserves for this.....never want to see United lose but really want Leicester to get top 4 ahead of Liverpool.

    De Gea
    Williams Tuanzebe Bailly Telles
    Matic VDB
    Diallo Mata Shoretire
    Cavani

    Henderson

    Tuanzebe
    Bailly
    Lindelof
    Telles

    Matic
    Fred
    VDB

    Mata
    Amad
    Greenwood

We can only play our B team. Probably we can use 3-1-4-2 and use one or two youngsters.

    Rotation time.

    De Gea
    AWB - Bailly - Tuanzebe - Telles
    McTominay - Matic
    Mata - VdB - Amad
    Greenwood

They've just been battered by Newcastle, our under 23's could actually get something from the game

A loss here, followed by beating Liverpool on Thursday would be ideal to all but end their (Pools) top 4 hopes.

I’ll be annoyed if we play a near full strength team. Give the youngsters a run - worst case is we lose and strengthen Leicester’s top 4 case at the expense of Liverpool :D

Can believe how strong some of these line ups are

No one who played 90 minutes should be starting this, even Cavani should be benched even though he only played about 30 minutes

Play the under 23s, don't even care if we lose we're not catching City. Rather Leceister get top 4 then Pool.

Tuanzebe and Bailly centre halves to play for the position if Maguire is out - with Matic as extra cover in DM

But a defo chuck it and rest match !

Leicester will probably have an eye on the cup final so even a second string United should at least get a point here.
Obviously the game we need to win is on Thursday.

    Henderson
    Williams, Axel, Eric, Lindelof, Telles
    McTommy, Matic,
    Donny
    Diallo, Greenwood
Maybe they can get us a draw, but the need to rest key players before the dippers is critical.

Full rotation. Not bothered about this game.

We go 7 points behind City with a win, beat Liverpool and it's 4.... now I really want us to win both

    De gea

    AWB
    Tuanzebe
    Bailly
    Telles

    VDB
    Matic
    Fernandes (til HT)

    Greenwood
    Cavani
    Diallo

Difficult. I would expect that the lineup has already been predetermined.

i don’t believe everything OGS says, but if we really are going to make wholesale changes it would be:

    DDG
    Williams
    Bailly
    Tuanzebe
    Telles
    Matic
    DVDB
    James
    Amed
    Greenwood
    Mata

think Greenwood will be the one to play 60 mins.

We're Manchester United and still need to secure 2nd and delay City as much as possible, i don't get wanting to write this off. Beat Liverpool ourselves, do it properly.

Greenwood should definitely start after being subbed on 65, but the rest is hard to judge.

Get the feeling one of McFred will start. I even wonder if Bruno might after coming off 10mins from the end.

However, definitely a game for Telles/Williams,/Tuanzebe/Bailly for certain.
Mata and Matic makes sense too.
Cavani to start if he's not in mind to start v Liverpool.

If we need a result late on, Bruno/Shaw/Rashy to get a look in.
