İstanbul Başakşehir Futbol Kulübü (better known as İstanbul Başakşehir or, due to sponsorship, Medipol Başakşehir) is a Turkish professional football club based in the Başakşehir district of Istanbul and playing in the Süper Lig. The club was founded in 1990 as ISKI SK, and they were owned by the municipality's water distribution company. ISKI SK competed in the Regional Amateur Football League in the 1990–91 season and were promoted to the TFF Second League. After promotion, the club's name changed to İstanbul Büyüksehir Belediyesi.

In 2014, the club was bought by new owners with alleged ties to the ruling Justice and Development Party. Its name was changed in June 2014 to İstanbul Başakşehir Futbol Kulübü. In 2020, Başakşehir were crowned champions of the Turkish Süper Lig for the first time in the club's history. They also became only the sixth club in the competition's history to win the league title and the fourth club from Istanbul to do so. İstanbul Başakşehir's rivals include Fenerbahçe, İstanbul Güngörenspor, Galatasaray, Trabzonspor, Istanbulspor AŞ and Beşiktaş. They play their home games at the Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium.

    Henderson
    Williams-VNL-Tuanzebe-Telles
    ---------------Matic-Pogba-------------
    ----Mata---------VDB--------Rashford
    -------------------Martial------------------

Beat them and we're basically through.

    Would like to see this.

    ---------------------Hendo--------------------
    --Tuanzebe---Lindleof----Harry--
    ----Williams-----Fred--------Telles----
    --------------Mata-------VDB---------------
    ------------Cavani--------Martial-----------

    Subs.
    Rashford for Cavani.
    Bruno for Mata.
    Shaw for Telles.
Pogba to stay on the bench.
    Greenwood for Martial.
    Mctominay for Fred

Can we not show our idiocy in this thread? Please no ‘Henderson in’ lunacy. We’re not giving out participation medals, why would we drop perhaps our most consistent player so far this year?

Let’s qualify for the knockout round then focus on second string players.

We’ve royally fecked up the Premier League, let’s not feck up the Champions League just to get someone game time.

Can we just stick to a formation instead of trying to shoehorn players in. Don’t care which one to be honest.

WHY do people put Dean Henderson as the starting Goalkeeper for this games?

Fecking hell. Perhaps if we have already qualified for the KO stage he might get a game, but not before then.

    We'll win about 10-0.

    It's what we do.

I would like to see Mata and VdB start this game together.

Pick a team to go out and attack from the start

I’ve so far only managed to predict one of our results right this season, let alone a scoreline.

If the opposition come at us, we have a chance. If not, we will struggle.

5-0 win followed by a 2-0 loss to Everton.

Ole the genius followed by Ole the fool, it’s par for the course...

    Team should be...

    ------------------De Gea------------------
    AWB--Tuanzebe--Maguire-- Shaw
    ----------Pogba-------Matic----------
    Mata-----------VDB-----------Martial
    ------------------Cavani------------------

Subs: Henderson, TFM, Lindelof, Williams, Fred, McTominay, Fernandes, Rashford, James, Ighalo

Not saying certain players deserve a start but just rotating those who have played the most games

I always find it funny reading the lineups. Just random formations with as many attacking players as you can throw on a pitch.

Never the formation that's gotten us our wins, mostly against strong opposition.

Everton at the weekend has become must win. If we don’t it’s hard to see how Ole can stay.

    I would rotate here.

    Henderson
    Axel - Maguire - Lindelof
    Williams - Donny - McTominay - Shaw
    Mata
    Cavani - Martial

Don’t even care much about that. Rest half of the team, get a draw or narrow win and bloody win against Everton!

The sooner we move to a European super league, the better.

A win puts us in complete control of the group, so it will be great if we can get qualification out of the way early so we can try to salvage our PL form. That said we'll be expected to take the game to this lot so we might struggle. I think some rotation is in order, get some hungry lads with points to prove on the pitch, as our so-called first team will probably not be able to get up for this one.

    Rest a couple

    ..................... De Gea

    Bissaka - Tuanzebe - Maguire - Shaw

    ........... Donny ..... Matic

    ............... Fernandes

    ... Mata - Martial - Rashford

    1-1

More likely win than lose though.

We will go back to losing on the weekend.

Be professional and beat this crowd, so play a decent team away and home.
