Fulham Football Club (also known as The Cottagers or The Whites), is a professional association football club based in Fulham, West London, England. Fulham were formed in 1879 as Fulham St Andrew's Church Sunday School F.C., founded by worshipers (mostly adept at cricket) at the Church of England on Star Road, West Kensington (St Andrew's, Fulham Fields). Fulham's mother church still stands today with a plaque commemorating the team's foundation. They won the West London Amateur Cup in 1887 and, having shortened the name from Fulham Excelsior to its present form in 1888, they then won the West London League in 1893 at the first attempt.

Fulham started playing at their current ground at Craven Cottage in 1896, their first game against now defunct rivals Minerva. Fulham are one of the oldest established clubs in southern England currently playing professional football, though there are many non-league sides like Kent side Cray Wanderers who are several decades older. The club gained professional status on 12 December 1898, the same year that they were admitted into the Southern League's Second Division. They were the second club from London to turn professional, following Arsenal, then named Royal Arsenal 1891.

After suffering relegation to The Championship in 2013, Fulham have been on a road to recovery and were promoted to the Premier League on 26 May 2018, by winning 1–0 in the 2018 EFL Championship play-off Final against Aston Villa. Fulham fans consider their main rivals to be Chelsea, followed by Queens Park Rangers. They also have rivalries with other London clubs, including Brentford and Crystal Palace.

Not won a league game for over a month. So, please, just win.

    I can't wait

Whole sale changes- we looked knackered in the second half! De Gea, Young, Bailly, Smalling, Darmian, Fred, Pogba, Mata, Lukaku, Herrera, Rashford...0-0

Fulham are quite an attacking side, I expect they’ll put us under quite a bit of pressure but we can steal a goal or two somewhere. Most likely a draw

If he doesn’t win this, then he should go.

I don’t care if it’s another 2-2, where Fulham score the two best goals of the entire league season in the 88th and 89th minute, after looking like a Borussia Dortmund team playing the 10 year olds from the local primary school in Sale, then Utd get a jammy penalty in the 92nd minute which is converted, then the ball is of course hoofed long, it bounces around in the Fulham penalty box, into the Fulham six yard box and somehow in the chaos, ricochets off of Fellaini’s crotch into the top corner of the net in the 94th minute, and Jose runs on the field going mental and they cut to Sir Alex going mental in Hospitality.

Would hope for something like this. Would like Pogba for Mata under a different manager, but keep going with Martial/Rashford as the front 2 and Lingard behind them is fine too. Drop Matic, he's bound to be useless. Centerbacks are all useless so whatever mix of 2 is fine I guess.

Up against a slightly rejuvenated Fulham, desperate for points.
    Draw.

It'll be a cracking match, you just know it. Real end to end, total football. Old Trafford delirious at what it's witnessing. Ranieri dancing at the final whistle.

    Can't wait.

Back to playing poor sides down near the bottom for a borefest. 1-1 draw I reckon.

I don't think even Mourinho can feck this one up, they'll probably score but we'll win.

I'm guessing at this for the starting 11.

Jose will spend the next few days analysing Ranieri’s system so he can match them up and neutralise another team at home. That’s what we’ve become.

I certainly hope we don't play a 5-3-2 or a 5-2-3 vs Fulham (call them wing backs all you want, but they are fullbacks and that's 5 defenders). This is what I would love to see (with who's available), but it will never happen

I just realised that I'm top in the December line-up prediction table. Feels so fecking good.

It seems that our team will only do well if they are threatened with being dropped or the manager fired.
We score goals and raise our intensity, only when we are behind.
Only when the chips are completely down will we play hard.
We saw this against Arsenal, yesterday - both goals we scored were very soon after AFC scored against us.

I think that before the match, Woodward should tell Jose that unless he wins this match, he'll be fired.
We should also concede a goal within the first 15 seconds of the match.
Under this scenario, I think it'd be a guaranteed win.

Unfortunately, none of the above will happen, so we will labour for 90 minutes and possibly rely on Fellaini to do something.
