Roger Fernandes

That's the first I've seen of him, but he can certainly hit a ball well with that left peg of his. Also looks quick, made a few nice interceptions and actually delivered once on his right (passes the Antony test of being somewhat aware of the other foot).

His technique looks loose though, which'd be punished in the PL, but at 19 that can improve.

Roger that.

Looks a little “raw” but I guess that’s expected with youngsters. Certainly seems to fit the profile of what the squad is missing in terms of talent profile - quick, strong, left footer and has played wing back but is attacking.

I didn’t know he had given up tennis!
That’s what I thought when I first saw the title.

Looks raw, but if polished can be an exceptional player. He is probably our alternative to Quenda.

Roger is a superb name that has sadly fallen out of favour in recent times. This is the guy to bring it back.

Not sure of source , but guy looks rapid and scored a few bangers

And this is hot off the press after Quenda signs for Chelsea even though some were lead to believe that we had already had him sewn up for 33mil euros
Unbelievable!!

I like how we are focusing on n younger players at a reasonable price (if this is true).

He looks too small (166 cm for transfer market) to play wing back in PL.

Interesting that he was linked to us a few weeks back as an alternative to Quenda incase the deal fell through. Makes you think people must have known that there was something happening elsewhere with Quenda.

Anyway see he has played as a RM so imagine he can play at wingback. Must say the video I watched he scored some bangers from range with the Robben like cut in. Looks strong and fast so like he could cope with the physicality of the league and at that money seems like a decent investment.

His stats are pretty similar to Quenda, slightly superior with an inferior team

Not sure on this one. Looks more potent in the attacking third than Quenda but as mentioned above overall technique is much looser.

I think physicality is going to be so key in this system and if you aren't the biggest (like Quenda) then close-control, dribbling, passing technique, game IQ has to be absolutely consistently on point to make up for it.

This guy looks a bit raw in that regard and whilst we're seeing that with Dorgu as well, he has the physicality to make up for it.

I think this summer is the year of low risk, high reward.
If cheap, talented and have the right attributes for the squad - crack on.

Don't know anything about him other than just watching that video which, as they do with most players, looks promising.

I imagine we'll now get linked to a lot of Portuguese players / based players due to Amorim.

Hopefully we'll be casting our net wide and comparing players from all around the world and only signing those with Portuguese links if, at the end of that global scouting, they happen to be the best option or value for money. Rather than in any way prioritising that connection.

His physique (1.66) worries me. Imagine him against someone like Van de Ven.

Are we sure we’re doing the right thing signing all these young players. We do need some experience aswell

I don’t think this is what Amorim meant when he said we need more Fernandes (Bruno) in our squad.

Jokes aside, this player does look good from that video.
Funny that this is the first guy we get linked to since he said that.

Is the source even legit here? Looks like a lot of discussion over nothing credible.

We haven't signed him. Transfer rumours in March with us must have a 99% nonsense rate.
