Source is Sporza a Belgian Sports website, currency in Euro, yearly salary.
I did not expect the wages of Real to be that much higher than City. It also stated Courtois is on 15 million a year. How much is De Gea?

City's wage bill will always look smaller than it actually is, similarly payments to agents and clubs when they buy players. The 'additional payments' are part of why they are being investigated right?
 
Tend to assume City find creative ways to see that their players are better off than the wages suggest.

I find it highly unlikely that Toni Kroos earns more for playing football than Erling Haaland.
 
Reported salaries for Citeh bear no resemblance to reality. They were already exposed for "topping up" Mancini's salary. Someone like KdB is probably earning multiple times more than his stated numbers in bonuses, under the table payments or (if they want to pretend it is all above board) phoney personal endorsements for companies of the Sheikh.
 
Players dream of playing for City, unlike Real who have to tempt players with higher wages.
 
Isn't Haaland apparently on 800k or so (despite the reporting of 50m fee and 350k a week).
 
Not surprising. I heard City pay some of their players in Walkers crisps and Lidl coca cola.
 
City are clearly cooking the books and paying their players far more under the table than what the official figure suggests. Why would any of this come as a surprise?
 
City’s reported salaries are meaningless… Their players get endorsed sponsorship (that originate from the Abu Dhabi group) and of course they get other stuff totally undeclared…

Financial fair play is a joke in itself. They have many charges on shady sponsor ship. None on wages being cooked. Or you have sources on that?
 
This is one of the most successful RM generations ever and Kroos and Benzema have been around for a while, not too surprising their salaries are high, I assume they started high too (unlike Casemiro's or some youth products).

Ok. Do you genuinely believe that that are cooking the sponsorship deals but aren’t coming any other financial areas?

Yes city are cooking their salaries. No, I don’t have any sources but it’s happening! Nobody loves the ‘project’ THAT much!

I have to question the reported wages for Kroos since his first two madrid contracts were leaked(10 and 20M/y respectively) and i doubt we gave him another raise since
 
if anything this proves they aren’t paying under the table those are ridiculous salary Haaland and Grealish are on :lol:
 
I don't believe a single word that gets touted about City and any financials, like player wages or transfer fees. What we see is not the whole truth.

The jealous SAF said something along the lines during Tevez transfer. It is up to anyone to believe what they want to believe until it is proven. I chose to believe SAF.

I get that it's nice to answer everything with 'City cooks the books'. But why would any City player make more than Benzema? The guy who just won Balon Do'r and have been integral in the team winning 5 Champions League.

Grealish is on what, 350k a week? How much do people believe he is on? 700k? 1M? Why would he make more than 350k?

Grealish salary is ridiculous... But Haaland's is not. It's not half the salary players of his level are/were making.

Ronaldo was earning a gross salary of 60M/Year at Juventus (and he was 33+)... PSG's 3 superstars are their highest earners, and they are all above 50M/year... Haaland is on that level (Minimum 50M). You'd be a fool to believe City somehow talked him into taking half his worth in the current market.

Exactly, its hilarious reading some comments here, Haaland being on 22M a year while winning f all is massive, he's earning 2 mil less then a proven CL winner and Ballon Dor winner, very few times can accord to pay him that, yet people here thing City are going around offering players extra money.

Grealish too 18m a year for a guy who was part of a mid table team, most teams wouldn't want to pay him 350K, yet alone 500K, yet people believe City are just handing 100K out like candy :lol:

CR7 was a multiple time Ballon dor winner, multiple CL, same as Messi, same as Neymar all those guys are in their peaks and are more marketable. Haaland is still the highest earner in that team and the highest in the PL he's only 22 and has won f all. Its not surprising if anything his salary is way more then what he has achieved.
 
I mean, I sort of understand the idea that Haaland is making a lot more money than that. However, it's his first contract in English football and he has sort of been half injury prone before. It kind of makes sense that his base salary isn't higher than that. He probably has some insane performance related bonuses though, and will probably end up making at least twice that.
 
Whilst it wouldn’t surprise me if City were doing something dodgy to further compensate their playing staff, I don’t immediately look at those salaries and think they are way below market value.
 
I think these are base salaries. Just like Halaand transfer fess wass not 50m. Its well known that agent fees were close to 40m to his agent and father. Also i had read somewhere all on his salary is around 800k-900k.

He would be foolish to sign for 400k and seeing how his career is planned there is no chance of that. Mbappe is on close to 100m/yr just for context. Jude will be on close to 25-30m at Madrid next yr.


Also City have been charged of paying salaries off the books (for Mancini). So there is that aswell.

At city when you sign you also receive an honorary citizenship to Abu Dhabi and an Abu Dhabi Bank account where you sign a secondary image rights and appearances contract. All these players are paid €10m per year in Middle East tax free as well, we all know this and it’s blatant cheating!
