I hope no other bids come in. Qatar will blow them out the water anyway they've gone public now there's no way they'll lose a bidding war.

I want the Glazers to feck off with as less money as possible. Cnuts.
Atleast it will be more money for investment towards the club. But think Glazers will not accept anything below 5.5 or 6 seeing our share price right now

I wonder if the various groups/people advocating for any Qatari takeover to be blocked will be diverting their attentions to current owners should they be successful. We could end up with Jim, or A.N. Other and City could be relegated as their sugar daddy is chased off into the distance.

Let us not pretend its anything its not. Its clearly state backed and some pretend Man United fan is heading it so you dont think they own PSG and Man United as well. Its clear as day its state funded.

can you prove it? If not it isn’t clear as day.

SSN saying that they're saying that Al Thani wants to buy as a private individual. Bollocks to get around loopholes I'm sure but that's the news coming out.

The statement certainly says the right things, particularly mentioning developing youth as they didn't have to do that so they're definitely doing well with the PR spin.

Even if yiu don't care about Qatar's human rights record the ludicrous circus at PSG should put you off. Not that the Glazers will care. They will sell to the highest bidder.
So would you prefer Ratcliffe?

Seems only Sheik Al Thani values the fans...without his statement and bid announcement this night would have been a total let down

Is the article not about the guy in the centre of the photo? And if not, who is the guy in the centre of the photo?
Ok I think it's just him wording the tweet wrongly.

You're right, the guy in the photo and in the article is the same (ex PM and powerful internally apparently) and is the father of the guy who bid for us.

The most important thing to remember is that the Qatari deal will probably be blocked by the same authorities that waived the Saudi takeover of Newcastle through.

So no more bids expect the Qatar one? Surely they would have announced it by now If they were bidding

Why? There's zero onus on them to make any announcement. They don't even need to have made a bid yet given this was a soft deadline.

The reports in advance of today were that it could be next week before we starting getting details on some of the bidders.

That tweet doesn't really make me feel great about the prospects of the club, even though it's supposed to, on paper.

Like hitting the cheat code and unlocking all transfers and upgrades, but nothing truly meaning what it used to, anymore.
