I have so far not seen a proper replay of the Mane pen incident.

Agree....all 17 wins have been lucky. Stop with this nonsense. You create your own luck. Penalty all day long. Should've buried Leicester. So hardly a fluky result.
Agree, what's the point of VAR! If they except that it's a dive! Except that the player has deceived the ref, by basically cheating, this is what VAR was supposed to have been brought in for? Seems to me it's being used for teams to get the results that others deem they should get?.. so far VAR is hopeless and not needed. Unless it's not being used correctly.Kevin Kilbane on BBC:
Surely that's what VAR is for? When the referee thinks it's a foul but its actually simulation? That sounds as clear and obvious as it gets.
And against Sheffield United you were lucky not to be 2 down before the keeper chucked one in for you.
You seem to get the breaks no matter what. I'm hoping it all comes home to roost at old Trafford in a couple of weeks. Red cards for Mane and Salah, 3 dodgy United penalties in a 4-0 United win with klopp sent to the stands and Henderson getting a slap from someone which is then deemed fine by VAR because hey, who doesn't want to punch Henderson in the face?
So its okay to commit a crime because, hey, other people have committed the same crime and gotten away with it.
That's the logic of your argument. It was a shameful dive. It was cheating. It needs to be called out. If there was any justice he'd be banned for 3 games.
The fact that you think VAR is competent and impartial renders your opinion useless to me. Have you seen the number of poor calls made through out the season? Laporte one, David Silva, Martial, even Liverpool had one just to name a few. They will not overrule the onfield ref until there is a mistaken identity or there is absolutely no contact at all.Because people out of balance always fall straight.
Yes I did. There is some delay, yes. That is because Mane had all his weight on that leg, and Albrighton doesn't kick hard enough to snap it right off. It would still mess up his balance when trying to take another step. Try standing on one leg for yourself, and see how easy it is to keep your balance when someone kicks it.
It wasn't the clearest penalty in the world, but it was still a pen. At the end of the day VAR reviewed and gave it, and they are more competent and impartial than rival fans will ever be.
And Liverpool have still done sweet FA in the premier league. Just imagine if they actually do win something. You lot sound like Liverpool fans of the 90s-00s.
Isn't that the point of VAR though? It is to fix obvious errors, not re-referee subjective decisions. The fact that you think VAR is competent and impartial renders your opinion useless to me. Prophetic93rd minute for Liverpool winner
What?At this point, I'm more worried about us not burying our chances when they come. We aren't always going to get luck like this; what in the world was Albrighton doing with the ball? Boot it out and get the point.
High foot even though Ayoze Perez got in firstNot sure why play was stopped there.

It was near VVD's head. It was always going to get called, even though it probably shouldn't.Was it high though?

Right now in the PL, its sole purpose is to check offside calls pretty much. They don't even fix the obvious errors. If the ref calls it, the call won't be overturned and if he doesn't, var doesn't give a *.Isn't that the point of VAR though? It is to fix obvious errors, not re-referee subjective decisions.
I don't think its accurate to compare winning a penalty to committing a crime?
Obviously we all have some bias towards our own clubs. If Rashford or Lingard did what Mane did, I doubt there would be the same outcry.
Interestingly nobody is talking about the Choudhury foul that injured Salah when he was in a good attacking position. Was that cheating that deserves to be called out?
Var is far from perfect at the moment, but if a referee gives a 50/50 penalty, and Var has a good look at it and decides its not clearly or obviously not a penalty then you can't really argue with that.
I didn't see the Silva incident, but this one there was contact and ref deemed it was enough to award the pen. Overturning the decision because the VAR ref thinks differently sets a bad precedent. For example, check out the David Silva incident vs Bournemouth. Blindingly obvious pen and VAR checked and deemed it as a not obvious error.

It doesn't fix any errors as of now. Obvious or non obvious. It's practically useless.I didn't see the Silva incident, but this one there was contact and ref deemed it was enough to award the pen. Depends on the distinction you are making between obvious and non-obvious. The Mane pen was NOT obvious. It doesn't fix any errors as of now. Obvious or non obvious. It's practically useless.
30 games to go, I simply don't see this running that long. What?

Brighton are toothless, I expect Spurs to beat them.
I'll tell you what I want what I really really want..
