Why the hate towards Romero? He had a rocky start (Like De Gea) but since then I think he's been pretty solid. Yes, his kicking isn't as assured but as a shot stopper, he's been good enough for us. I'd rather prioritise other positions over GK

Most outlets claiming Madrid don't see value for money, given our stance. Under Jose I don't see us getting robbed. If they want him they're going to have to pay big, something they apparently aren't willing to do given how good Navas has been for them.

They aren't getting him. Milan aren't selling them one of the biggest goalkeeping prospects in football especially since they are now in a good position.
Not to mention that he has one year left of his contract with Milan. Donnarumma would be a very neat replacement for De Gea if he leaves this summer, as we would have Romero as a very solid backup in case the young italian need time to adapt. Can't see it happening, but with his agent and contract situation, it may be able to put some pressure on Milan and make them an offer they can't refuse.
Madrid don't need a new keeper, they need a galactico. They are desperate enough, I believe.

Agree. I hope DeGea stays. If he doesnt Donnaruma would be a very good signing especially with us having such a good number 2 in Romero. What I have seen of Donnarumma there are aspects similar to DeGea when he first arrived that need serious work before he can adapt to be a world class keeper in the premiership but the age and talent to be one of the best are absolutely huge.
Last thing we need is wasting budget on goalkeepers this window.
Milan does not want to sell him, but it will soon not be up to them if he does not sign a contract he will be free in January and Raiola will shop around for the best project and deal.
I think he is a great prospect but I would like the keeper to be a stable presence in a team not one that every 3-4 years has to move to increase salary and agent's fees. Especially considering that in the next 4 years he will still not be mature enough. For his career it would be better to stay put at Milan for some more time also because with their defence he can practice his skills a lot during games
If Donnarumma goes to Madrid, then Dave will stay at United for another decade.
Should have done the same thing Griezmann. Signed a new contract, new a pay raise, insert a release clause/gentleman's agreement to leave for Madrid next summer.
