Just in time for the new season. I think since we are laughing at everyone else, there is plenty of posts (and people) we can laugh at on this forum. This thread would have been a gem last year with the Moyes fiasco and I'm sure it would be a gem at times this year as well.

This could be a great idea, or it could fail miserably and make us look stupid. More than likely it will make us look stupid.

Terrible idea, sorry. I already read RedCafe, so I don't see the point in this thread at all. Go to another forum and start a RedCafe meltdown thread if you really want to.

Seconded.

We don't need a dedicated thread for this. Just go and browse around in here.

As long as the servers don't go into meltdown... :nervous:

People are so touchy

I bet this thread could be filled with some real gems come the end of the season.

It will be good to have a laugh at ourselves, after all we seem to do it to everyone else. Its just a bit of fun, don't really see what the problem is.

Why not try to get the views into one thread.

Think about it. We compile all the overreacting posts in here right? So, what's the limit for topics? No limits? It will be chaos. If you click the latest post, you wont have any idea at all how it started and why. You will get posters asking something like "what the hell does Gaalfather means?". And the same question in the next page. Wont be a problem if we all love to scroll back to read previous posts/pages mind. Just an example.

I understand what you mean however I intend to be a thread to display some of the bizarre and at times very silly posts. We seem to laugh at everyone else for them. Obviously people will need to be a bit descriptive over what the post means. If you look at the RAWK thread, people tend to put down what the post is about or its the detailed posts that are posted from RAWK.

What are you talking about? It's quite a simple concept. See the RAWK/Bluemoon thread for example, I don't think either are hard to follow. It's just a bit of fun.

Great idea, the Woodward thread will unearth some classics if we don't sign anyone.
Myself included possibly :nervous:

It's a different situation. We usually just pick a few of the posts in those threads to laugh at. You do know how silly posters are in here right? There will be far too much to put in one thread and there will be no order. Just go and reply to the posts that you deem worth a laugh in their respective threads so that we know what the topics are. Like we always do. That ought to be enough in my opinion.

If you cant laugh at yourself, you shouldn't laugh at others. As long as people take it for what it is, I think it might be a good laugh.

So this is just all the matchday threads in one place?
Match day threads, transfer threads and Woody threads.

I thought this yesterday looking at some of the threads. We laugh at City and Liverpool fans but we are overreacting just as much as they are, if not worse.

Are you laughing at yourself though? Or just a different set of others.

Those three threads (plus more) all in one thread? We'll be re-posting almost every posts in them into this one. Do you think it's a good idea?

I am all for laughing at ourselves. But have we not been doing it yet? I am just concerned about this thread being so disorganized that it will beat its own purpose.

It depends if one of your posts is in this thread or not, Ive posted plenty of times in the heat of the moment, only to regret it when I realised how stupid it was.

Your impression of the Caf as some sort of all out mental asylum is quite funny. We've had a similar thread in the general before and it never descended into all out chaos.

Let me remind you of the matchday threads.

Anyway, it's your opinion and I respect it.

We'll see how this thread goes. If it's indeed any good, I will definitely be a regular contributor. Probably my posts from other threads will be as well :nervous:

Here's a few over-the-top posts I picked out from a nice light hearted thread that should be a bit of fun to scroll through, particularly as the season goes on.

Not sure if this is a good idea or not.
