Do you really see him playing much part this season? Not sure where he would fit into the new formation. Domestic cups maybe?Yeah this game is all about Januzaj for me.
You make a valid point, and if all the no.10's stay then his playing time will be limited. But i'd much rather LVG let a few players go and then Adnan could pick up the extra minutes playing time.Do you really see him playing much part this season? He will find a way in somewhere. He's an essential player for United moving forward, and that starts now.Do you really see him playing much part this season? Not sure where he would fit into the new formation. Domestic cups maybe?
I think the first half we will see all the players that are going to start at the Swansea game. Them the other half we probably going to see Januzaj, RVP and Fellaini just so Van Gal can see the afro playing them send him off to Napoli (Hopefully). Hopefully we can see other youngster who did't have a chance on the Tour like Powell, Varela, Janko, Lawrance, Willson and Pearson. Will like to see Blacket one more time and I'm hoping that Shaw start this game. The match is very close to our First match of the season . I either expect a completely strong team to get them even more fitness or a weaker side that consists of the youngsters like Varela , Blackett , Keane and Januzaj to give the first team rest for the opening day.
LVG doesn't like to lose games, any games. So I expect 7 to 8 first teamers plus maybe Januzaj, Fellaini and Blackett. Maybe 1-2 more youngsters after the break. The match is very close to our First match of the season . Not one person has said anything like that.I know that Januzaj is a real prospect, but the way you guys are talking about him it is as if he's already the finished product on par with Ronaldo, but just that he didn't get the chance to shine.
Jesus. Our most dangerous attacker bar Rooney last season, and you want him to just get cup run-outs? Last season he got 26 appearances, and we should be stepping that up this season so that he's close to being a regular.Do you really see him playing much part this season? In this system you'd think the no 10 spot would be best suited to him. But we have Mata there and Kagawa if he sticks around. If not, then i could see Januzaj coming on as sub and playing against the bottom of the table teams, but he won't play full games regularly. If he's not to play as a no 10, then the only way to get him in the team is if he's used as a wing back which seems a bit of a waste.Jesus. I reckon once Van Gaal sees him, he'll find a way to fit him in, even if that means tweaking the formation.
Nah, Rooney's role up front definitely suits him more. It will be difficult to fit him in though. He could play no. 10, but outside of those 2 positions, he's going to have to adjust his game. Honestly, before he made the step up to the first team, I thought he would end up a cm. I no longer think that's his best position, but he could probably play Herrera's role pretty well with training. I'm not sure he'd be able to play lwb well enough though. A lot of stamina needed for the role and I don't think he has that in his locker right now. Overall, I could see him struggling to make the team as dislodging any of Van Persie, Rooney, Mata or Herrera will probably prove very difficult. Welbeck will provide even more strong competition for him. Considering this, maybe selling Kagawa would make sense afterall. In this system you'd think the no 10 spot would be best suited to him. Januzaj is not in the predicted lineup option...............OMG!!!! HE'S BEING SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Available nowNo Fellaini and Van Persie too. I'm sure @Niall will add them soon.
Not a big deal as long as all of them are there at the 16th.![]()
I think people are forgetting what its like with no European football - rotation is no longer a factor like we have got used to. There is no "Player X will get minutes" - look at Liverpool last season - barring injuries they played the same side pretty much every game. You are either in the team or you're not and I don't see Januzaj playing ahead of Rooney or Mata (or Kagawa / Welbeck for that matter)Jesus. To your last point, nearly everyone bar Mad Winger would put Januzaj to be given a chance to shine ahead of Kagawa and Welbeck.I think people are forgetting what its like with no European football - rotation is no longer a factor like we have got used to. Are you kidding? Lots on here were saying that Kagawa was better than Hazard when we signed him!To your last point, nearly everyone bar Mad Winger would put Januzaj to be given a chance to shine ahead of Kagawa and Welbeck.

Shaw as a CM and Mata as a wingback? Explain yourself.De Gea
Smalling - Jones - Blackett
Young - Herrera - Shaw - Fellaini - Mata
Hernandez/Wilson - Rooney
You'll never get promoted with lineups like thisDe Gea

Didn't Alan Hansen say something along those lines...You'll never get promoted with lineups like this
I hope soWilson surely has to get half an hour now.![]()
I have to agree with this (but not as much on Kagawa, more-so Welbeck, due to the system we are going to play most of the time).I wouldn't, certainly not ahead of Welbeck. Januzaj is excellent, but getting into this team will be extremely difficult for him. Welbeck has looked fantastic in the new system and will definitely be 3rd choice up front imo. Januzaj isn't better than Kagawa currently so if we do keep Shinji, he'll probably find getting a place at cam very difficult indeed.
Honestly, out of Mata, Rooney and Van Persie, I think Van Persie is probably the most likely to be rotated and that says something considering the quality of the relationship between Van Gaal and Robin. I'm not sure where Januzaj fits into this side tbh, but I'd be somewhat worried if I were him. I hope Van Gaal sorts something out, because his talent and potential is insane.
I don't agree or understand why januzaj would be ahead of Kagawa for the number 10 spot. Kagawa is simply better in this position than adnan. I can see adnan being used more as a wide striker I rotation. Especially if we sell Hernández. I get that people think januzaj is the second coming but surely he has a lot to prove yet? To be fair so does Kagawa in a united shirt but for me Kagawa has more about him in the 10 role.I have to agree with this (but not as much on Kagawa, more-so Welbeck, due to the system we are going to play most of the time).
We have to assume our front three is:
Mata
van Persie Rooney
When fit / in form. As far as starting when one of these guys isn't fit, or coming off the bench, you have to assume this:
Welbeck / Hernandez / Wilson (maybe) replaces Rooney / van Persie.
Januzaj / Kagawa replaces Mata. I think it's a tough call between who is called up first, but I would say it is more important for us to keep Adnan happy and at the club in the long run. I'm happy with either player stepping in though and it is good competition at the club to have these three quality players vying for one position.
There could be times when we drop a striker to play two number 10's for sure, but I think that is definitely gong to be rarer, especially from the start of a game as 3412 is quite clearly the Plan A.
My first assumption would be that Januzaj will sub in for Mata more often (but not all the time), while Kagawa would probably start the Cup games. If we were in Europe, it would be better for the side as all three guys would play enough to be happy, but without Europe it's a bit more difficult to please three players fighting for the same role in the team.
Kagawa is looking likely to be one of the guys sold. If he doesn't go this season then he probably would look to move in the next as Mata is going to stay ahead of him. Also, judging on last season, Adnan was the better player - he also wants to play as a number 10 so I think we'll get to see what he can do there this term as we aren't looking as likely to play 433/4231 as LvG clearly wants Mata/Rooney/van Persie as first choice in the same line-up.I don't agree or understand why januzaj would be ahead of Kagawa for the number 10 spot.
