1. Age of empires 2 (online)

3. Terranigma this game is class, you accidently reset the world and had to go down and sort it all out. Massive game set all over the world - dawn of life, dawn of man, tibet, france, columbus, the new colony, futuristic - absolutely amazing game. Really at the golden age of rpgs.
4. Baldurs gate series.
5. Planescape Torment - but only on first playthrough.

FFVI - Nothing wrong with VII, but in my opinion, VI beats it, and every other RPG ever made down to a pulp...
Chrono Trigger - ...except for this, because it's also ridiculously good.
Counter Strike - Still the best and most addictive online game I've ever played, and in my opinion no other FPS (including Source) has managed to match it in it's online brilliance.
Half Life 2 - Simple one really, probably the best 8 hours of single player ever, but it's only 8 hours.

Picking the 5th is difficult, those 4 are certainly at the top of my pile, but great games like Deus Ex, Planescape Torment, System Shock 2, Quake 3 are really hard to distinguish, still if I really had to pick one I'd pick....

Grim Fandango - Brilliant game, wonderful plot, great puzzles and generally just superbly funny and entertaining. Not as good as the other 4, but not far behind.

No way man, i've played 6. Its the nuts and the best FF game, but it isnt as good as either Secret of Mana or Terranigma in my book (it also isnt as good as baldurs gate)

I never really liked Secret of Mana, the battle system pissed me off. Haven't played Terranigma.

Baldurs Gate is nothing on it though.

Just started playing this actually after a recommendation from a friend. He also recommended Thief. Pity my fecking laptop jumped off the sofa.
