WSL 24/25 | United v Spurs - Sun 13 Oct at 12:30

I'm really pleased for Terland. She had a couple of nearly goals in our opening matches but the longer it takes for a new striker to get that first goal, the harder it can get on their confidence. Beautiful goals as well and as @Grande said with the assists coming from Bizet it's nice to think we could be seeing the start of another piece of our Norwegian story.

So, just because it made me smile...

Terland certainly took her goals well, should have bagged a third, and also should have been given the ball for the penalty. I'm not sour or anything, but in FF terms my first thought at the penalty was "yes, get in," my second thought was "Toone is my FF captain," then it was "I have Terland," and finally "bugger, jojojo has Maya!"

On another note, I thought George and Janssen were excellent.

Attendance was listed as 4473 today by the way - good spread around the ground and decent atmosphere. Still could do with more in though, all eyes on the Arsenal game in particular to hopefully get close to capacity at LSV.
4473 is a healthy attendance, but I know what you mean. We'd all like it to be more but I know that the scheduling does not help. We have had the second highest average attendance for the past three years - behind Arsenal, obviously.

Second highest is pretty good, would've thought Chelsea would be ahead of us.

Chelsea's women's/youth stadium has a maximum capacity of 4850 (and that assumes minimal security and minimal media provision). Even so, they rarely sell out there. In honesty it's a bit of a bleak place from what I remember of it, so maybe not the best from a crowd/atmosphere building perspective.

Arsenal's women's ground is even smaller, but they've been so successful at building a crowd at the main Emirates stadium that they can now use that ground more often without losing money on it. They need to start playing better to preserve that of course!

LSV is a nice small stadium at around the 12k capacity mark, but it has a proper stadium feel to it. Any crowd over about 5k feels like a good sized crowd if you're there so it's a nice size for us at the moment. Lack of public transport and parking provision are its biggest issues but it's a nice base once you're there. We got over 8k for our WSL match against Arsenal last season and got over 6k there against Liverpool, Villa and the same for the Chelsea cup match. We've got a small but solid away following as well, which also marks us out as a bit unusual.

I must say that is a bit surprising with their success and location.
All the stats for the past few years can be found at Footballwebpages.co.uk - I do not know how to link it here. For a bit of perspective, West Ham v Everton last season had a crowd of around 630.

:D

Matt Le Tissier has one of the highest conversion rates in English football history if I recall correctly. Maybe Skinner misread the team sheet?

For me I agree anout George. Felt Janssen was abit up and down tempo wise myself. Phallon Tullis-Joyce really impressed me though.
