Would you take Wout Weghorst over our current CF options?

I know this thread can be upsetting to some, so please serious takes only.

Inspired by the "Is Rashford better than the likes of Saint Maximin?" thread.

The disrespect Weghorst gets on here in the Maguire criticisms is unreal. I mean this guy is backup to Memphis freakin' Depay!

Anyway, would you take him over Cavaldo? He's big and strong and we easily pay 80 million for that. His linkup play is fairly basic, but by no means bad. He has a lot of Passun as well.

If you were a CB, surely you'd rather play against Ronaldo or Cavani than this guy?
 
Can’t say I’ve watched him before he joined Burnley but he did look handy last night. Having said that, we make every Tom, Dick and Harry look like prime Messi so who knows.

If he plays like that all the time I could see a space for him at a top side as an option off then bench or against more physical sides.

Our scouting department lacks any imagination though if he does turn out to be a gem I doubt he’ll end up here.
 
The fact he can't displace Depay who is bang average at best says it all.
 
This cnut fits Burnley like a glove. He was born to play for them based on this game.
