Anybody looking to see this when it comes out? I remember reading the book as a kid, but never being really into it. The movie though, looks like it will be good. Spike Jonze spent 4 years making it. Hopefully it'll be good.

Loved the book, the movie looks alright...

I didn't read the book, trailer for the film didn't look great to me but perhaps it would seem better if I knew the source material.

I'm just pleased this thread isn't about the below par Metallica song.

I used to read it to the kids when they were little, it was always a big hit and one that I could stand to read over and over again unlike many of the others (now forgotten). Ahlberg's 'Each Peach Pear Plum' was another favourite.

Ahlberg rings a bell. Is that the guy who had a serious of books like Mr Biff the Boxer and various other people with silly names that had jobs like waitresses etc. I loved them as a kid.

Wow childhood flashback!

Yep want to see this. I'm a huge Maurice Sendak fan and Wild Things is still one of my favourite books.

Glad they hired a proper director and can't think of anyone better for the material. Also happy to see them using Henson animatronics rather than CGI.

Read the book as a kid and enjoyed it although i didn't know they were making a film. Of the book the one thing I can remeber is the "royal Rumpus" which even as a kid sounded dodgy.
