When Do We Become Irrelevant?

Do? I think you mean did.

All we’ve been doing for nigh on a decade is clowning around, putting on a circus.

It’s been a long time since we were relevant in footballing terms. At least at the level most fans would aspire to.

Here’s to better days ahead.

We have huge support and will always be big news. In footballing terms, however, we have been irrelevant for 9 years and counting. We are currently where Milan were when they were signing the likes of Beckham and Ronaldinho - still wealthy but more a retirement home than a serious football club.

We’ve become irrelevant as a proper football club. Now are name is used by agents as a negotiating ploy and we’re more concerned about social media clicks than trophies. We’re a sad reflection of what is the worse about our society. Over entitled pricks who want to be showered with praise and recognition without actually accomplishing anything.

we are already there, unless you are talking about being brought up as a laughing stock. Then the club is still relevant as a talking point.

I think at least 15 - 20 years from now. Probably a lot longer. The 10 year olds that started supporting the club in the early nineties are 40 now. And we still had another 2 decades of success and new fans after that. I liken us to the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL, they are the most supported and considered America's team, despite not winning the superbowl or even been to it since 1995.

That's the easiest part, relatively speaking. How long where Liverpool a top 4/ mid table team before they challenged for the title and started winning trophies? All it takes is a top manager, good players and some luck. That can be achieved over a season or two.

We are still relevant and will continue to be relevant as a footballing behemoth for the next couple of years (5-10) as a minimum. Our branding is too strong across the world for it to suddenly become irrelevant.
I mean with Newcastle on the horizon we could be the new Arsenal
