Yep.

As an idea, Mata is reported to be on £130k, RVP is on £200k and Vidic was on £120k. Rooney is said to be on £300k. And Young on £118k.
£240k, but yeah.

I have a feeling van Gaal will not want things to go unresolved for long. He is going to want his squad ready for most of pre-season.

I think United will make Juventus a take it or leave it offer and move on. I think 50-55 million is a fair number.

If Juventus say no, then they can feck off.

They should go for Cech? He's pretty old, past it, might as well keep Casillas rather than go through all the trouble.

Let 'em have Navas, liked him in WC, could prove to be a nice surprise.

Cech is 32 yeah, but he is most certainly not past it as much as Casillas seems to be.

He is a top keeper still, and was PL keeper of the season even last leason.

I don't think Conte resigned because Juventus said "no" :)

Raiola already poured cold water on Pogba moving didn't he?

And he's a gobby little shit who'd be sure to spill the beans so everyone knows how good an agent he is.

I left my house when the news about Conte broke thinking when I came back the deal for Vidal would all but be announced. And yet I come back to find Jackson and his cronies still insisting we're not even interested. fecks sake.

I'll keep believing mind.

Raiola thought that Juventus would be perfect enviroment for Pogba to flourish even further and Pogba was happy there. No I can definitely see him leaving.

Don't listen to them. Listen to the foreign press.

Wow! Over an hour with no updates.. Things have ground to halt on twitter after that flurry of updates earlier!

They're all just asleep, I think we'll find out one way or another whether we'll get him or not sometime within the next 2 weeks. Van Gaal hasn't even been formally introduced as our boss yet technically so things should start moving after he is and the Juventus situation calms down a bit.

When is he getting formally introduced, tomorrow or Thursday?

So do we get a press conference from LVG tomorrow like?

Some guy on Sky Sports the other day (His name was Kaveh something) was saying we have £200million ready to spend this summer, so I can't understand why this isn't done yet. I think if it isn't done by Friday (When we depart for the us of a) It won't happen. I've never hoped to be more wrong!

On Thursday. He starts training tomorrow, press conference Thursday, jetting off to USA Friday.

Van Gaal? I thought it was supposed to be Wednesday, so tomorrow morning. No idea if he's supposed to have his first press conference or whatever then or if he's just meeting the team tomorrow.
Edit: Never mind, listen to Damien

So we are only going for players who "want" to play for M
I can see our point

Ferguson wasn't interested in many african players because most of them are looking for the best contract (And that's okay with maybe 20 siblings)...ACON was a little reason too
Someone like Assou-Ekotto has no interest in football.....sorry i don't want players like him at Old Trafford.....yes football is a job but we all know too it isn't a normal job

There are enough players like Ravel Morrison, Carroll, Ireland and and and.....of course this players aren't Man Utd quality.....but there are enough players who are interested more in fame, money & girls than football

What i mean if Vidal can get 10m per year with us and 12m per year with Bayern Munich but he comes to us.....that is my point.
We hear Sanchez was only interested for a CL club.....if Vidal comes to us without CL football this season then it would really mean he wants to play for us.

Man Utd without CL is just for one season but to be honest i still would be surprised if we could sign a player like Vidal without CL football this season (even with a big contract).

Need a translator, but he's quoting an account with over one million followers.

Arturo Vidal imminent departure to Manchester United, have triggered output Juventus coach Antonio Conte. Via @ 24HorasTVN

Or pretty much, the departure of Vidal has caused Conte to quit Juventus.

24 Horas which was quoted is a Chilean tv news channel I think, over 1.5m twitter followers so here's hoping that's the legit reason Conte left and we get more positive news throughout the day. Probably best to ignore the British press, United must be giving them the run around by leaking wrong info, there's too many reports abroad now and with Andy Mittens video earlier I'm back to being optimistic about this.

I am always very optimistic about this transfer regardless of reports coming in and out from nowhere. All i cling on to is Vidal's interview, Conte resignation and now waiting for LVG press conference. Other than that, don't involve your feelings with random twitter's shite. That's what I learnt from last summer.

Randomly woke up at 5am...check the twitter thread...no news...back to sleep then.

£240k, but yeah.

As far as I'm aware, there were clauses in player contracts which meant that the wages dropped by 1/4th in case of non-achievement of champions league football. Won't apply to new arrivals in all certainty.

I would think Conte's resignation would strengthen Juve's position on Vidal, not weaken it. They won't want an exodus on their hands nor risk the wrath of their supporters if they lose both their manager and best player over the same issue.

I would think they'll do everything they can to keep him rather than make it easier for us to sign him.

They really need the money though. And many Juve fans think as well as the Italian press that Conte resigned over differences in strategy in relating to transfers. He didn't want to sell any of the star players but the board thought otherwise because they need the money.

They run the risk of unsettling the player by pulling in and out transfer business, if anything it weakens their position because they don't have a man fighting tooth and nail to keep his man. If we've had a bid accepted and this has caused Conte to resign then we must applaud the man for sticking to his principles, this is a situation pretty much caused and created by Juventus.
