The positive thread

We will have a new and hopefully modern manager by end of November. Thus bringing to an end the chain of disappointments. Gives me a lot of hope. Probably we will go on a winning streak after that.

Kier’s, Carras and Mikey have signed up for a BTEC in Coaching football development starting in January

Utd are 2 wins away from being in the mix. Wins against Atalanta and Liverpool would put Utd in a good position in the league and ECL group. Infact, if Utd get results against the big boys in the next few months they could be close to the top of the table (hopium).

Rashford is back which is great for Ole's prefered counter attacking style.

Pogba's haircut is hilarious.

I lost 2 kilos last week.

I wouldn't get your hopes up Atalanta are a very well organized and good counter attack team.

No seriously they are a good team. We could lose. This is not a guaranteed win.

I can't wait to get the chance to take my youngest on.

Think I'll break him in gently with deepdale first then we'll do the real deal.
It worked well enough with the eldest, now he's dyed in the wool united.
Be careful with that. A colleague decided to ease his son in to visiting Arsenal by going to a Palace game (and it was cheaper and easier to get tickets) and the lad fell in love with Palace.

Rashford is back and things can change very quickly in the period of games coming up.

 I don't mind so much with PNE. Hometown club and all that.
I had two season tickets when I worked for them.
Didn't change the eldest though, he's United to the bone. Even though his first game was a 0-1 loss to villa.

All signs point to disaster. I agree that betting on Utd right now is a long shot. The only thing to cling to is that Ole has managed to get some big results in the past. I will watch the game hoping for the best but fearing the worst.

Cheers, OP!

1. We have the best team we've had since Fergie retired.
2. A title challenge is still very much a possibility.
3. We're still in the CL and we're still the favorites to win our group.
4. Rashford is back.
5. Greenwood is having a great season.
6. DDG is back to old form.

It either gets much better or the manager will be sacked so either way things should hopefully be better by Christmas.

Football no longer has a bearing on my mood. Losing games no longer makes me unhappy.

We may never see them on the same pitch but Rashford Greenwood Sancho and Amad is a really fantastic talent base to build an attack around.

I’m in on this I think we can turn it around. If we beat Liverpool we are 1 point behind them. Go 433 with Bruno playing deeper within the midfield 3. Make the two wide forwards work like dogs. Hell even the internet fan favourite DVB could hold his own in the midfield 3 and get a few games

We have amazing fans who try their best to not create a toxic atmosphere at the club. Even in a dire state where even the most ardent of fans know that Ole isn't up to the job, the fans keep singing his name.

While this might appear churlish and naive to the outside world, the fans are doing everything they can to support the team and the manager. If we had a board who were half capable of taking decisions at the right time, we would be golden.

They've got a lot of history tbf, albeit pretty ancient history now. It's understandable that United isn't the draw it was years back for youngsters, when it's painful to watch so often.

Cavani is hot.
At least that's how the missus sees it. Which is odd, because I have absolutely no resemblance to him...

We have a fantastic squad filled to the brim with talent both experienced and young.

We demand much more from the team than we have in years - which is encouraging.

We have the players needed to put together a really good team, we just need to put it all together in the right way. Perhaps a new manager could unlock that, we will have to see.

I think we all genuinely believe we have the players needed to challenge for the title, and with one or two additions in the summer could go on to have a truly great side on our hands.

We are still capable of attracting incredible players such as Varane, Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho (He'll come good).

We have a squad that any manager in the world would be envious of, a world class coach can have us competing until the latter stages on all fronts.

I wasn't forced to swallow my own prediction

Ole has been found out for a fraud he was, outside of his "wishy washy smiling" he's just too scared to lose this job and barricaded himself with yes man. IF he really loves the club he'd resign. If he think he's good enough then I think he's more deluded than I give him credit.

Imagine being like this to a club legend. This man has done 1,000,000 times more for our club than you have.

Calling a club legend a 'fraud' is just a joke.

I'm almost enjoying these difficult years in a weird way because it really shows the true colour of glory hunting plastics.

 That was so fecking pathetic.
Somehow almost every time Arse score a goal and there is a zoom shot to the crowd and some wankers making hand gestures indicating the result as if we folk watching on TV have no way to understand that it is now 1-0 ? I hope OT never reaches this level.

We have a very good squad now compared to recent years.

Greenwood is shining.

De Gea is back to his best.

Rashford is back.

Yeah, my first time was a nil nil against spurs back in 1985. It didn't stop me. Luckily the next time was a Jesper Olsen hattrick.
That's when everybody and their dog was a Liverpool fan. A legion of cretins.
Nothings changed.

I was gonna go on deepdale for the cup game next week, but I can't be arsed being in that close proximity to so many inbred vermin tbh.

Rashford is back! Hopefully he can help Sancho get going as well.

Bojo didn't have to spend Christmas alone with Carrie.

Yeah all very valid points but just need the manager to unlock all that now and sorry it's not Ole

Ole built this team.
Ole got 2nd place with a worse team.

He deserves to have a proper go with the team now. Not get sacked with 30 games to go when he's just 5 points behind 1st place.

Oh leave it out with the still early in the season clap trap, he's had nearly 3 years and hasn't shown he's capable. He only got second due to a huge injury crisis for the scousers and Chelsea keeping Lampard until January.

We have amassed a Rolls Royce squad of players. We're just short of a Rolls Royce type manager.

Rashford is back.

De Gea is close to demi God status and in great form.

Fred isn't playing.

A back to normal Rashford hopefully.

And then there's Greenwood. Both of which are our shining beacons.

My positives would be we have a great squad. Though if we spend the entire year with Ole id imagine 1 or two top players might not want to be here anymore.

I'd be quite confident of a good season next year if we changed manager now/soon.
