I dont really like the control setup. Cant get used to aiming by pressing in the right stick.

Multiplayer is a hoot as well. Although time just seems to disappear once you log on. How is it that you unlock other character classes to play online? I assumed it was to do with the amount of ranking points you total?
Also on a side note, has anyone else got their copy via the pre-order from play.com. If so, I was wondering how you accessed the theme that is supposedly bundled with it? I can't seem to find any mention in the paperwork they sent, although it appears on the order receipt?

Yea everytime you rank up you unlock different things like weapons, ability to create clans and different classes like Medic etc..
Ah, ok cool. I ranked up onelevel last night and it told me I could do squads. I guess I'll have to get back on there.
I'd guess that you would have some code to enter into the promo thing from the XMB that will allow you to download it, a bit like the codes you get when you are included in a beta.
Will hopefully be picking this game up next week.
Annoying problem or just the way it is?
On playing both the demo and the full release with update, the menu screens are very glitchy and unresponsive. Are they meant to be like that by design or do I have something set up wrong?

accidentally grenaded two of my teammates and lost 6 points
i just got loads of points, quit the game in the lobby, looked at my stats and they are as they were earlier. i hope it just takes a while to update or something or ill be pissed off
it seems to take 20 mins or so to update, which is a pain in the ass really, cos any perks you unlock you have to wait till after the next game to use them
That's what I figured, but they haven't made it abundantly clear which one it is. As you can imagine the receipt is covered with codes, but none seem to work. I've been trying them in the redeem codes section under account management. I'll give them a bell I suppose.

i had to change the sensitivity on mine, it was way too sensitive to begin with
I just found it, stupid hotmail had treated the separate email Play.com sent as junk, so I found it in the junk folder.

btw the boltgun is aces, nailing Helghast to walls and the like.
I think the problem is that too many people are trying to treat this game like COD4, it's not. Default is there for a reason IMO, and is the best control scheme. People are too impatient, it just need a few hours to get used to the default control scheme, and then it makes perfect sense.
9.0 from GameSpot. They mourned it's unimaginative story-telling, these fellas should stick to RPGs.
