"The dressing room is just a disaster"

Can’t wait until Lingard and half the rest of the dressing room is gone

We've had leaks way before Ole took over. It happened all the time during the Jose years too.

I'm counting the days till the 1st July so we can finally be rid of these shites.

Who told you that he just said that?
I think you're right, I doubt Lingard says more, too much of an angel.

They're just 'opinions' right, harmless. Nothing I can say if you can't see what's wrong with the toxicity that's growing in this team and in certain players.

Some of our former players are thick or what? They think their own agenda is helping the clubs?

Weird that former Liverpool players are supportive of their clubs, yet our own feel like they want the managers to cater to them too.
It’s easy to be supportive when you are wining

That'd be a nice birthday present if it happens

We knew he wasn't a good manager though, he wasn't brought here to do that when they first wanted him, but has done it anyway.

He was brought in to manage the team until the end of the season. That is why he holds the title "interim manager".

If they were bothered they would have sacked him by now. It is the other things he brings they were seriously after.

Jesse leaking information about the dressing room?

I don't believe it, just doesn't seem the type.

I don't think it would take a genius to realise that the dressing room morale has gone to shit.

He isn't implying the players are fighting each other. He is implying that morale is rock bottom and they are probably unhappy with the staff and everyone else above.

Yes, he hasn't shared anything that belongs to United.

Contracts can have non disparagement, and confidentiality clauses. I'd be surprised if most football clubs didn't think to write that into contracts. They shouldn't prevent someone from fulfilling a regulatory or legal requirement, but I haven't seen the exclusion for telling a mate who is a member of the press before. As you say, you have expertise in this area, so I'll take your word on it.

You are essentially telling me that you make things up based on prejudice, Lingard could be a terrible person and it wouldn't mean that he didn't share more with Scholes and it also wouldn't change the fact that Scholes is the one in the wrong when he shares a private conversation with the public.

And the toxicity that is growing in this team is probably what Lingard was alluding to, so you really have nothing to say. You should focus on that instead of complaining about a player that seemingly shares your opinion on that topic.

None of this is even remotely any sort of surprise. It is perfectly obvious that the dressing room is a disaster. It reflects the whole club.
Disaster from top to bottom.
No sense of direction.
No sense of pride.
Just treating it as a massive gravy train.
Taking everything out and putting nothing back.
Everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves.
Trash.

Fair enough. Now that you've said it I'm not sure what else it could mean.
I honestly think Jesse is just caught in the middle of it and nothing in his comments, just saying to a friend “this place is a disaster, mate”..,

If they were bothered they would have sacked him by now. It is the other things he brings they were seriously after.

They would have sacked him if he was a permanent manger, yes. But they can't really sack him at all - the "interim" part of his title is acting as a shield for him in one direction as much as it undermines him in the other.

As to what else he brings to the table - listen to Ralf. He hasn't got a clue what his role will be going forward. From that, how can we have any clue how much weight his word will have in the future? It seems that the soon-to-be consultant wasn't consulted on the choice of manager until fairly deep into the recruitment process.

Ralf is likeable, but he is very much out of his depth in the role to which he was entrusted. It's just that everybody at the club gave up on this season back in December.

Could be, or could not be alluding too, oh the irony.

We can sit here and make all sorts of 'justifications' to also make Lingard look good in the spotlight.

I'd rather he stay professional, stays quiet and leaves quietly. Shame Scholesy didn't reveal what any other players who told him things, oh wait maybe because most don't.

A lot of people Lingard here but isn't Scholes the one in the wrong?

Both. Utter arseholes.

GREAT news for ETH though this, utter cnut of a squad. Make no mistake, he needs Ralf’s information because they’ll feck him too if they decide they don’t believe in him. Get in players that want to play for him, not snidey cnuts.

Just need a few bag eggs shifting. Pogba is one of them who is going.

This is a more precise suggestion while he could have a non disparagement clause, what Scholes shared wouldn't necessarily apply, he didn't disparage anyone nor the company or its product. Now on a different topic there is a case for abuse of these which is why I wouldn't mention it, these clauses are a good to create and promote toxic work environment and players should refuse to sign them.

Lingard of all people. Seriously the class of 92 should just zip it.

End of the day players are going to chat with people outside the club, though they shouldn’t speak to the media. Scholes is totally in the wrong saying that on tele. I feel like these ex-players revel in the state the club is in. Constant negativity. I never remember ex-Liverpool players talking so badly about the club, even when they’re were dross.

When they’re critical of the club and cosy with rats like Lingard it shows how seriously you can take their opinion.

No one has made any justification in order to make Lingard look good. But I can see that your only point is too make Lingard look bad for some strange reason.

I honestly think Jesse is just caught in the middle of it and nothing in his comments, just saying to a friend “this place is a disaster, mate”..,

Scholes has done him up like a kipper here, and now everyone is going to assume him the dressing room leaker. The truth is, Lingard's comment could mean all manner of things, but people will automatically conclude the worst. That's the way it is with the media and football fans.

I can't figure out what Scholes was thinking. I mean, he spent his entire career under Fergie and his strict "no talking to the media" policy. Scholesy knew exactly what he was doing when he decided to share this information with the world.

feck off Scholes - you should know better
Have to admit...Scholes is one of the ex player pundits that irritates me most. His agenda against Rangnick from the start is as good as supporting the underperforming player power shithole that the club has become. Finally someone starts telling these players that they either shape up or ship out yet poor auld Scholesy can’t see beyond his mates being called out.

It’s counter productive.

It’s partly our own fault for keeping unhappy players in and around the squad.

As a lot have said already though these snaky characters can’t leave soon enough. I’m baffled as to why we’re playing players that are gone in the summer.

Trash.
The culture comes from the top.

id be willing to bet that Lingard and possibly Rashford are part of the bad culture and where all the leaks come from.

Is anyone else not remotely bothered about this?

I mean the dressing is obviously a long way fecking short of where it needs to be. You just need to watch us play to know that. Scholes should have kept his gob shut but who gives a shit? It’s not like he’s leaking formations or team selections. He’s just telling us something every one of us knew already

Don’t give a toss about Lingard either. He’s not good enough and he’s gone in the summer. Maybe he told Scholes something in confidence? Maybe not. Who cares? He’s not our problem much longer.

Overall I blame the people above the manager for the state we’re in as a club.

But the way this season has turned put, I blame solely on the players.

The way they have reacted to Rangnicks arrival has been as unprofessional as I have ever seen it.

Most of them are babies. Shows how intelligence and mentality was mostly down to Fergie and not the players. Scholes of all people who was so intelligent on the pitch comes across as a child most of the time.
Hilarious actually “I hope he doesn’t mind”

Lingaard, Pogba, Rashford, Martial, Bailly, Henderson your little clique of whiny bastards.

Get rid of the lot. I'm guessing they clash with Ronaldo, Bruno, Dalot, Telles, Fred, De Gaea

Just poisonous now, I'm guessing the first group I've named will be removed asap
