Always knew lingard was leaking to the press, this confirms it.

I think if you're part of the problem you should keep your mouth shut. People who live in glasshouses and all that...
"I'm sure he won't mind"I don't know what kind of relationship Lingard and Scholes have but if it's a close one then only Scholes is in the wrong. You don't go around repeating things that are said in confidence and also name your source.
Leaks don't work like what people think, it's usually players sharing news to ex-players/close people around them who end up leaking it to the media. Not a player directly sharing info to the media. Not saying Scholes is the one that leaks to the media, but Lingard sharing info to ex-players is still leaking
If Ralph Honigstein has been working for Ralf. I bet he has already told him who the leaks are. He will know how to find out.Always knew lingard was leaking to the press, this confirms it.

Much worse where we're concerned. The ex Liverpool players were deluded and always spoke like their club was/is gods gift to football.Same as Liverpool in the 90s.
I would just lay down consequences for players who can't keep their mouths shut to be honest. I blame the club hierarchy for not taking a firm stance with this. I don't mind losing or struggling, but I cannot stand a shit attitude and a leaky mouth. Got to be loyal.Precisely. Scholes will not have anybody in that dressing room now to get any insight, if you can call it that from. There are going to be big changes and I am thrilled about it.
True! But can't help but feel we will be disappointing by the number of outgoings and incoming. Rangnick knows what we have to get done and is extremely honest but thr club has to want to take such drastic measures too.I’ve never been so excited to get rid of so many players at once. Weird feeling excited on people leaving than coming in. Bring on the summer.
Because Scholes does not like Rangnick at all for some reason. He hasn't had a good word to say about him from the start.
The players need to do this behind closed doors. it's already a shit atmosphere, sort your crap away from the press etc. I don't think that's an unreasonable expectation. I doubt we could open our mouths about our workplace and colleagues and not face consequences. Should be the same for our players.I'm not concerned with any player saving face regardless of circumstance. I'd much rather see us look at what's causing the problem and make moves to address it.
Anything else is pure PR - who ironically are going to be having kittens this afternoon after Scholes' comment.
Why don't we suspend Lingard and anyone else leaking and just replace them with some talented youngsters? Nobody expects anything now, so why not have some peace and quiet from all the drama?
I hope ETH gets the backing to get rid of leaky players. We can't move on without any loyalty. Isn't there anything in the players' contracts to stop them from opening their mouths to ex players and press about private club matters?
Even if it is a family member, the player involved should be warned, if it happen again you are gone. They always say what goes on in the dressing room, stays in the dressing room. It's been going on for too long.I would just lay down consequences for players who can't keep their mouths shut to be honest. I blame the club hierarchy for not taking a firm stance with this. The whole ex player pundit scene is so toxic. Not helping us one bit.
We knew he wasn't a good manager though, he wasn't brought here to do that when they first wanted him, but has done it anyway. You're right, he's been visceral towards him from day 1, but he's kind of been proven right surely?
I mean he's had some truly horrific things to tackle and we do all enjoy Rangnick's pressers and his honest appraisals, but he has been awful as a manager.
Absolutely. I find it bloody out of order. How has the United corporate lot not said anything to the players about this? I'm really baffled.Even if it is a family member, the player involved should be warned, if it happen again you are gone. They always say what goes on in the dressing room, stays in the dressing room. I guess we both can have different versions of what leaking is then, my take is if you're revealing any information to anyone that isn't involved in the club is a form of leakage, regardless if it goes to media and made public. To be clear the leak would be Scholes not Lingard. The leakage is when an information goes from a private circle to a public circle or is shared to reach the public. Lingard sharing his opinion privately with Scholes isn't leaking anything, the leakage is when Scholes shares that private thought to the public.
I have a suspicion that is all about to change.Absolutely. I find it bloody out of order. How has the United corporate lot not said anything to the players about this? I'm really baffled.

The thing is Scholes is like most of our ex players 'punditing' - they have the self awareness of an ant. They don't understand as they had Alex Ferguson to protect and lead them. They look at most things through their eyes and are too daft to see their 'opinions' are toxic as hell and don't help any. Casting a critical eye over the situation is separate from the shit that comes out of their mouths.Jesse Lingard is fast becoming the most dislikable player this club has ever had.
As for Scholes, he's the classic former player who has no idea why he was so good at the game, and the sooner the club cuts them all off the better.
Why would Scholes tell what he heard from Lingard?
I really hope so DT. It is one of my dearest wishes.I have a suspicion that is all about to change.

Opinions or not, if Lingard had told Scholes what the line-ups are going to be before it's officially out, or decisions Ralf has made, that Ralf expects to be kept in house, that to me is a 'leak'
Agree. I just want to enjoy my football again and the club not be a laughing stock.I really hope so DT. It is one of my dearest wishes.
I can live with no top four finish, but I cannot abide by turning this great club into a fecking unprofessional circus. I want hard work and mouths firmly shut.
We clearly needed a less intelligent former player than Neville to be leaked to, so we can get closer to the truth but Lingard confiding into Scholes just shows how stupid he is.I don't know what kind of relationship Lingard and Scholes have but if it's a close one then only Scholes is in the wrong. Right, but somehow, giving his opinion on what the dressing room is damaging. It's not an "information", it's his own opinion, he didn't share something that didn't belong to him or something that was secret, he shared his opinion to a former player, someone that he worked with and probably idolize. What you are suggesting is frankly daft and it is that people and in this case footballers shouldn't have any outlets that anything they think or say is a leak which is wrong and dangerous from a mental standpoint, people need outlets and these outlets aren't supposed to repeat and expose what they are told in confidence.
Now, I do not exclude the idea that Scholes asked Lingard if he could share it and that Lingard told him that he could. But even then Scholes should know that United fans are lunatics and that they don't like Lingard, so putting his name out there isn't a good idea.
