Just giving a few of their songs a listen, I like them much better than I expected.

Anyone a fan? Which is their best album to download?

first Doors album i ever got was American Prayer. i loved it but it's probably not the best introduction to their music.

All the Doors releases are phenominal, the one that seems to get the most play is 'Best of the Doors'.

It has almost all the same songs, plus more than that are on 'Greatest Hits'.

Can't help but hear the hellicopter sound to the tune of 'The End' in my head, when I think of the Doors. Could be all that acid I took 25 yrs ago. (fun times)

When I say, 'It's been put to the acid-test.' I ain't shittin' you.

I'm going to download the one Lizard suggested then if I like it I will probably buy* them all.

It was written on acid :D

They're all brilliant but The Soft Parade is probably their worst effort - apart from the two albums they made after Jim's death.

Their studio albums are - in chronological order:

The Doors
Strange Days
Waiting For The Sun
The Soft Parade
Morrison Hotel
L.A Woman

A lot of people rate L.A Woman as their best work.

I've only ever heard one song, Break On Through, which is good.

The Doors is my favorite Doors album. Not a single bad song on the entire album. Morrison hotel & L.A Woman are also really good albums.

Really like The Doors. Waiting for the Sun is even better though in my opinion. Love street I think is the song I really love.

Maybe i'll check the other albums out.

The Doors are my favourite band of all time.

There music is timeless and Jim "the Lizard King" Morrison was the greatest front man for a band ever.

Live verson of the Soft parade. Morrisons voice is haunting.

Cheers, giving it a listen now.

Now i realize.

I'm Ozzy and I wont ever forgive you. Your my worst enemy now and you will regret this day at some point in your life.

:nervous:

Sorry Crouchy.

Please just go and feck off out the thread you despicable cnut.

Say what you really mean why dontcha? Internet warrior.
You think "An American Prayer" is a great piece of work then?
It calls into question much of his earlier work imo and should never have been released.
I like the Doors, by the way, but the cult of Jim makes me throw up in my mouth a little every time it is championed.
Had his demise come earlier this would not have been the case for me.
That is all.

"Death and my cock are the world...." purrrlease.

They called me Haley Joel Osment down in the newbies so Crouch is not insulting at all compared to that.

Fair enough if that is your opinion. Calling him to die earlier than he did is just bang out of order though.
