The Apprentice

Raef was a cracking candidate, and a great guy by the looks of it (though he went down in my bad books in a recent dream I had, where he impregnated my girlfriend), but I think Alan Sugar realised he wasn't really there for the job, hence shelving him. I reckon he'll press for media work

Fine episode tonight, Michael finally got the boot he deserved many weeks ago. I watched You're Fired, and he came across well on there, like he realised the error of his ways. But if there was a behind the scenes on that show, I reckon he'd be telling us how he was bullshitting to make himself look good...

Interviews next week, always my favourite episode! Lucinder and Helene are gone, he already made it clear this week he can't really stand either. Leaves Alex, Claire and Lee. Claire is a nailed certainty to make the final two, but there isn't much between the two remaining lads. Their previous boardroom encounters makes me worry for Alex, Sir Alan doesn't seem to have taken the greatest liking to him. Probably sees him as a pretty boy. I'd say Lee and Claire are my calls to go through

All Lee ever does is randomly celebrate with COME ONNNNNN! in entirely unappropriate places.

However, he is probably better then Alex who really, apart from the last episode, has done feck all.

Lucinda is a nutter who would snap under pressure, she always moans like a kid and if she can't sell luxurious cars by herself with all the details in front of her, how will she survive as the apprentice?

Claire. Not sure why, but I'd slip her one. Anyway, she is actually quite good although she could probably kill people just by speaking at them too fast. I think she will win it because she has the strongest business head and she's a shrewd little wench!

She's a bit of a fatty Hectic (but so would I, strangely enough :nervous:)

Lee and Claire in the final, Claire to win

(was feckin hilarious when that Lucinda asked someone if they'd like to rent a Zoner. FFS!)

That's why it's strange. She has that dirty face which kind of makes it alright.

That made me laugh too.

Also when Michael said he would go to that mans meeting with him:lol: I would have told him to feck right off.

Can't believe he lied on his CV, fair enough when applying for Woolworths, but not a feckin' BBC program!

Nobody in this poor bunch stands out - both guys are pillocks and Claire is slightly more appealing than the other lass.

I think that wanker Sugar made the right decision in getting rid of Lucinda, no way could she have worked for him. I would have got rid of Alex just for dropping Lucinda in it in the board room, what a fecking wanker. I bet he'll win though.

I said that last week or before when trying to pick a winner. Nobody is really up there unlike the previous year, they are all in with a fair chance.

I do think Alex and Claire stand out a bit more but the lad killed it when he turned around on Lucinda in the board room just then. Hated gobby Claire at first but if I wanted a job doing from all of them I'd pick her to do it.

Lee got gripped there with his CV, unlucky! Could have been the end of him but he came out with a reasonable excuse(s) in the end. Helen is a dark horse, not sure about her.

The whole things shit anyway, especially this season.

In all honesty i don't think the job was right for Lucinda, and there's nothing wrong with some New Age stuff neither! ;)

Damn right about Alex, that was low what he did. Never have liked the guy and he showed his true colours for all to see tonight. I'd accept any of the others winning now over that piece of weasel shit.

Lucinda was a bit of an airy fairy bint. When she started the show she'd act like the victim, but then as time went on, she'd give shit back and get in strops. Not good.

Lee is cool, I want him. He shouldn't have lied, but you can see it from his POV. You get alot of people who harp on about where they've done their degree (which they don't use) and such, probably made him feel right out of place.

Claire: Don't like her. Seems to think her and Sir Alan are personal friends or something, she is boastful about that.

Helene: Whatever.

Alex: Thinks that he is the dogs...that he is the best..but then when he starts getting some criticism or asked difficult questions, he falls back onto the 'I'm only 24' routine, and looks like he might start crying.

Whoever has Raef on their team next week - one of them will win

No stand out candidates in this series, so you have to consider it a failure if we're talking about the actual point of the series. I'm not sure Sugar would go near any of these if he didn't have to pick one.

Quite fancy Helene though. No idea why.

Good decision by Sugar to keep all four. Seems the right thing to do. Doesn't bode well for Alex next week though because he's lost a lot of the tasks previously. Lee or Claire to win now.

Just shows how little of what goes on we actually see....from the interviews the only person the interviewers really listened to was Helene and the guys interviews seemed to go very badly with the prat Alex yawning and sighing his way through most of them...couldn't believe they came out so well in the end. I can't believe this motley crew are the best of what the business world has to offer.

Anyone watch the American version with Donald Trump? The candidates on there are in a different class.

Alex is a whiner
Lee has no substance other than shouting
Helene has a face constantly like a bulldog licking piss of nettles. "the other 15 are gobshites"
Claire, mouthy but the only half competent one there i feel

Claire should win.
Lucinda is a brilliant leader though, unfortunately not suitable for Sir Alan's organization.
Raef should have been the winner.
Alex is shite.
Lee is a nice guy who probably should win if Claire didn't.

Was a bit disappointed Lucinda got fired, think she was a mroe than capable person. Would have been interesting to see her in the final instead of Helene.

As for the remaining four:

Alex: Only 24 as he keeps on saying, is quite competent and could get it but he is a bit of a prick.

Helene: Who, what, bit unnoticeable really. Lucky she is even there imo

Claire: She could be the favourite, I don't really like her but she has all the attributes. Up herself.

Lee: Is the one I want to win, has a lot of flaws but also has a quite a lot of strengths as well.

Lucinda - Very articulate but didn't seem to be very good at anything other than Team Leadership, which I don't think Sir Alan is looking for.

Alex - Very capable, excellent salesperson, young, rather arrogant but than can be seen as a good thing rather than bad.

Lee - Just shouts a lot to be honest, does my skull in.

Claire - Hated her at the beginning but has come on a lot and is my favourite to win.

Helene - Her being there gives us all hope.

Interesting twist with 4 through to the final. The teams are Claire and Lee vs Alex and Helene, the losers are fired and Sir Alex will pick one candidate from the winning team as his Apprentice, think that's the situation

I'd suggest Lee being grouped with Claire means he isn't going to win, and I'd suggest the same in Helene's case. I wouldn't have thought he'd pair his two favourites together in this situation. I think he'll give the job to Alex or Claire, depending who wins the final task. We shall see

Hmmm not sure if i would of given it to lee. I personally think that DUAL should have gone through.

Sir Alan was just echoing bollocks about the business side of the product. It was a great innovation, and standard aftershave bottles cost pennies to make anyway, so even if it did cost 3 times more to make, selling a bottle in the region of £30 would still produce massive products.

Im dissapointed, bit of a cop out really there I think,DUAL was the greatest brand/product/business.

I liked the concept behind dual, but the bottle was ugly, and the compartment that popped out even worse.

I'm glad Lee got hired!

Lee has done well to get past his speech impediment....it would drive me mad to hear that all day.

Think Sir Alan went for Lee because he felt he could work with him better. Don't think he could stomach working with Claire full time.

Gotta say, thought that was a cop out. Dual was a far better product, wouldn't have taken much to downsize the idea, but the IDEA was far, far better than the other concept.

Lee did deserve it however on the entire experience.
