The Animals

Great version of that song alright, they had a few more - Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood, We Gotta get outa This Place. Their albums are pretty standard for the pop/blues thing that was the Brit equivalent to the Stax type Rhythm and Blues thing in the states. They made a few chart incursions but the albums are all solid bluesy affairs.
 
should check out some of eric burdon and the animals stuff...decent enough psychedelic type stuff plus the stuff he did with War.

great voice had eric.
 
True about his voice, but it's a bit disturbing that he looks like he's 14 and sounds like he's 40.
 
more so with stevie winwood who was about 14 and sounded 40.
