Any fans here? I'm reading the Sword of Truth series of his, and just seen that they've started a tv series loosely based on the books. Downloading now.

yeah, big fan of the books, read em all the way through.

didnt know the telly series had been done yet. I would absolutely lambast you if you were to pm me the link to the download, just so you know.

I'm just finishing up the 4th book, Temple of the Winds. I'd PM you a link except i got it from a private torrent site, so you wouldn't be able to use it. I'd send you an invite but ran out.

Drags on a bit though (11ish in the series?), finished the series last year wasn't to bad if you like those flighty adventure fantasy type novels

it does get a bit stale towards the end, but the last two or three books bring it back around.

The first 3 are fantastic however.

Oh sweet lord they've butchered it. Absolutely butchered it. Changed the story drastically for no apparent reason, and the acting, oh god it pains me just to remember it.

You must be talking about Legend of the Seeker. I just started watching this ...

God I hope it gets better. I'm a huge fan of the series.

Yeah i was. I watched the first 3 or so episodes and gave up. It was truly awful. I'm on the last book of the series though now!

I've started watching this also, unfortunately its very poor, the whole premise of wizards first rule was that a confessor was needed to verify the truth of the book of counted shadows - but now its like just opening a present. silly

naked empire is the best book though

Agreed about Wizards First Rule and the Book. They should have started with him being a kid and memorizing it ... there's quite a bit in the middle they could have left out or pushed through quicker. I just saw the first ep yesterday, and I'll probably only continue watching it because the chick who plays Kahlan is hot.

And the only book I didn't like was Pillars of Creation. I understand the need to have it there, but I wasn't expecting that departure from the main storyline so I was a little disappointed. Faith of the Fallen is possibly my favorite; the way he converts people of the Old World and works over Nicci was awesome. I loved the Chainfire trilogy as well, I thought it polished off the series nicely.

I'm back on George R.R. Martin now. I couldn't get through his works originally as I was going back through Wheel of Time and the Sword of Truth series and it just didn't grab me like the others did.

Cringeworthy stuff, this show. Seeker this, Seeker that. Christopher Lloyd should be playing Zedd. Or Christopher Walken.

Yeah it really is. I only lasted 4 episodes because of the bird playing Kahlan

Yeah sorry, i meant faith of the fallen, that really is in itself a great story, and like wizards first rule form the two best books imo. I think the tendency for goodkind to over extend the story across multiple books drags a little. Still, a great series.

Duckula, i'll have a look, i havent found any books in the genre worth reading recently, i dont like the wheel of time series, i think they are too convoluted

Oo, I'm a fan of his books. Any chance you could post a pic of the bird? She seems very sexy in the books.

yep i would

She's not as sexy as she sounds from reading the books but she's still fit.

All awesome series.

I'm about 2/3 of the way through the last book. I must admit i'm going to be a bit upset once i'm finished.
