Son Heung-min | arm no longer broken | heart could be

He cheated in a football match, something that happens every week. Players fake injury constantly, whether its to get someone booked, waste time or just to have a bit of a breather.

His cheating didn't even really have much of an impact in the end either. It's not Thierry Henry v Ireland or Suarez v Ghana level of outcome, Spurs still lost.

The only "abuse" he should get is Man United fans Tweeting him the match report or the league table.
Spot, fecking, on.

Pretty much this, happens week in, week out, in every game. People so soon forgetting that Lamela collapsed holding his face after a love tap from Martial?

Comes across as someone who is not going to stick around if there is no CL football and feeling split loyalties between his team and his career.
Might be faking all that disappointment given his antics today.

He knows he has to move because Spurs arent getting back to the CL anytime soon..

Do we? Every team has players that go down easily for sure. Every game. But staying prone on the ground and receiving medical treatment for a finger grazing your face (or any other exaggerated injury) isn't something i see much in general or at United. Seen 2 players do it this season though, both with significant results. Should be called out more in my opinion

Not sure when it happened but saw a game where Pogba handled the ball in the area and for some reason went down in the box holding his face like he got knocked out.

It was probably the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen in football as on replay there was no contact at all with his face - it looked like he was trying to cheat.

Imagine in a boxing match, your opponent touched your face, and you fall down rolling. Yea this is not a boxing match, just football, but this reminds me of rivaldo really.

Son lying there with the Tottenham physio on stabilising his neck and testing for concussion really was another level of embarrassment.
Should be penalized for that shit, even Neymar would be embarrassed of that level of clowning.

Players go down for the slightest contact, I get it it has happened as far as I can remember, the issue for me was him on the ground like a sniper took him out to the point the medical staff had to come on. Disgusting display which i'm convinced influenced the call. Ref has to be making a common sense call there. McTominay grazing his finger tips against someone's face isn't gonna knock them to the ground like they got shot. Where the hell was this ref when Chelsea handled the ball?

I wonder if he's gutted about his own behaviour in that interview more than the loss

he's made a right twat of himself

Would he look for a move if they don't get CL ? I mean he is one of the best players and just won't be happy with EL or no Europe.

Yeah, it was disgusting and I’d probably would be still fuming had we lost the game due to it but really the blame should be directed at the officials.

Lamela did much worse to Martial last year - Martial reacted like I would have, and from the sounds of it, like you guys would have - and gets sent off. Son fakes a near death experience and gets rewarded by having the opposition goal canceled. There’s no doubt that Son made the better decision for the team, even though it’ll damage his reputation significantly.

Referees really need to stop rewarding people for actions like this, otherwise it’ll never stop. Diving can be punished my exaggeration is much harder - but I feel they can always punish players in retrospect after reviews (this would include things like Rashford holding his face after being kicked) - and this may encourage the players stopping things like this.

This.

Until the referees stop rewarding players for exaggerating contact and injury, players will keep doing this. They're professionals paid to win football games after all.

Do referees even play football? Everyone who does knows that with all the adrenaline coursing through your body, only the worst kinds of injuries and contacts can cause a player to be immobilised. I tore my ACL, my knee felt a little bit looser and thought it strange, and played on. It was only the next day when my knees swelled and locked up and I realised what had happened.

This happens because VAR is available to every single individual player going through every single motion.

If each team only had 1 or 2 VAR decisions to make per 90 mins then the game is shifted back in to the referees live game decision most of the time.

It then becomes the decision of the team and manager to ask for a VAR to be checked and they would have to do it knowing that their player didnt deserve that red they had.

If for example Lamela had smacked Martial that led to Martial getting sent off - spurs would have to contemplate before the decision whether using a VAR with blatant play acting is a better choice than needing a VAR to have a look at a potential offside goal that isnt offside later on.

This is how it's used in Cricket and I think it could be even better to watch in such a high tempo match rather than the game breaking up every 5 mins to check on the play acting players at the VAR.

Referees should really have a think about what "simulation" means. Even a decently strong hit to the face isn't going to make someone go to the ground, so any time they do that they are simulating injury and should be booked for unsportsmanlike conduct. Even if they have been legitimately fouled.

Anybody who's played football has had the ball blasted square into their face, and it doesn't make you fall over.

Limited use of VAR per team sounds like too much hassle, and sounds too much like tennis, or cricket or any other sports that I have no interest in.

Just be rid of it so we can all spend time talking about how Henry handled the ball to deny Ireland and WC place or how Scholes was onside and we'd have knocked 2004 Porto put of the CL. You know, much more varied debates. Sick and tired of talking about VAR.

I like it because it becomes a very managerial and tactical decision the manager has to make at the right time to get the right result no difference to a manager wanting to make a sub.

He has a very few limited video chances and he has to be the accurate one who makes it when it is used.

I personally like VAR in the game though, I cant stand handball goalscorers.

Just seen it again, and yeah - the whole dive and reaction was gross. Thought it would be hard to top Aurier for cnut of the day, but Son has the prize wrapped up.

This thread is hilarious as a neutral when you take into consideration this is a fanbase that worships Bruno Fernandes

It's time you stop calling yourself a "neutral". You've used this card loads of times to have a snide comment about United or the supporters. It's just getting a tad embarrassing.

He's always been a fecking cnut. I've said it before, but the fact that he got more sympathy than the guy whose leg he fecking broke disgusts me to this day. That's not all on him, of course, but he's such an unlikable scrote that I'll blame it on him anyway, the crying wanker.

Eh, you love your own and hate everyone else's. That being said, it's not like Bruno has ever done anything even close to the shit Son pulled yesterday. When you stay down for several minutes, and have the fecking medical team checking on your non-existent injuries because a finger grazed your face, you're in a league of your own.

What annoys me the most is that he's been portrayed as an honest, hard-working player for ages, despite always having been a thuggish cheat.

And Son was clearly hit in the face as well. The point is that the contact wasn't beat enough for him to go down like that, same with Bruno against Villa and numerous more times in the season.

Refs need to weed this type of behavior out by not falling for these dives by players.

Come on. Its a light slap on the cheek with no force behind it. Dont tell me that players like Son willingly can head a ball thats blasted onto their head at 80 mph but somehow that will make him go down in agony.

And yes, players do that kind of shit all the time. What makes this stand out is how long he stayed down

Hope he is well.
The thwack on his right cheek was so hard that he went down clutching his left eye.

Anyways, years of coaching by Poch and then by Jose is showing the c**tish side of Son.

You have to wonder how some people can call themselves 'journalalists'.

Doubt he ever called himself that, bit of a tongue twister.

Pathetic to see that people can't just call him a dirty cnut without being racist on social media.
There are so many much better words and insults that can be used, no need to be a racist piece of shit.

Didn't he go and complete his military service last year. Is that how they toughen up their soldiers? It was embarassing to see him stay down with that contact.

I hate to say this but, young and black. it’s certainly not down to talent. he talks absolute nonsense and his bias always shows.
I don’t like Jenas but what a load of nonsense, people say the same thing about Micah Richards too. There’s plenty of rubbish white pundits too, so I hope you give them the same scrutiny.

Comes across as someone who is not going to stick around if there is no CL football and feeling split loyalties between his team and his career.

No sympathy for his off the field crying and whining anymore, it comes across as incredibly fake as he's a right cnut on the field.

No way he feels remorse, he's a twat. Remember how when he broke Andre Gomes' leg, he was acting like a victim himself.

I didn't even read your post before I posted mine. I couldn't agree more, Son is an asshole.
