Should Referees get interviewed after games?

Sorry but there has to be more accountability of a ref doing a shit job.

This whole protect the refs at any costs bullshit is why we keep getting mistakes from refs.

Is it now that theres just no refs of a good ability left in the game? Or are they all just shit at their jobs?

As someone else suggested have them mic’d up and lets hear the reasoning behind judgment calls. Also use the bloody pitch side monitors if not sure of a decision!

I don't think we'd get better decisions until the rules are sorted and it would make refs an even bigger part of the game and that would be unbearable.

We should be able to hear the on-field chat between the ref and VAR. The rules are terrible too, and need a real overhaul.

I think scrutinising referees to the nth degree will only lead to worse refereeing. I think rugby is the best example. Every referee refs the game in their own way, but will generally chat to the captains pre-game to detail what they will be focusing on etc etc. But I feel like there's always a good and consistent standard or refereeing, and most importantly, they almost always get the key decision right.

I don't think there's only 1 right way to interpret a game of football and every decision, but if we had a general consistency that is reasonable to expect, easier rules to interpret and more transparency on decisions through on-field mics it would make such a huge impact.
