Sexist Ole - "It's a man's game" | Lindelof joins the sexist club | Ole jokes about kids going hungry

More sexism today.

"If my son did that I wouldn't feed him"

Ole has a daughter too. Why didn't he say 'children' instead of 'son'? Are girls too pretty to go down like that? This plays on the disgusting old sexist stereotype where girls are told to smile, be nice etc.

It's only a matter of time before he gets cancelled.

He was saying he'd always feed his daughter reinforcing the outdated belief that women need men to survive.

It was a cry for help all along.

this is gold.

marcus was inspired by watching his best mate slowly turn into a “beans” version of hodor due to being starved by Ole for sub-par performances.

Gone to the hammers and he got his “beans beans beans” and look at the difference!

Whats this all about? Feed his kids? Ye are all filthy rich you loon! He’s such a pain in the hole. Mr Negative.
Wow. I mean really? Is Mourinho that thick or does he really believe people will fall for the nonsense that he talks. He knows exactly what Ole meant and instead of just sidestepping the question like most managers do, he decides to go personal. It's just embarrassing to say the least.

My main criticism of him is that he needs to have a bit of a nasty streak in him so I love this. Thank you Son for helping Ole raise his street cred.

FFS Ole, Rashford goes on a massive campaign about feeding the kids and you come out with that?

Can't wait for the inevitable transfer request now.

Fairly obvious because now he knows his kids will be fed anyway - so now he can do it

Ole living rent free in Mourinho's head.

This was Mourinho's tactics ball along get someone sent off and beat 10 men United. He got lucky at OT with Martial losing his head. He knows he doesn't nhave the squad to beat us 11 Vs 11. Dirty Fecker.

You have Rashford out campaigning about feeding children then you have the moron, OGS, coming out with comments like that.

Joke or not, it’s such a stupid thing to say.

Mourinho is just a clown and this have him something to use as deflection.

I have to say that whenever I see Ole in an interview it feels like he's giving too much thoughts on his answers, but at the same time haven't thought it through enough.

It's like he feels the need to exaggerate on a point he's making, but then that just makes it worse.
In this case he didn't have to say the point about feeding his kids. It would have been enough to just questioning the time and effort Son played on his "injury".

As a fellow Norwegian he seems to be using metaphores from the Norwegian language that doesn't translate very well, and as such they often end up as these half phrases that causes more confusion than anything. He's very well proficient at English, he should try and keep it simple more often.

Edit: I read it more like if he's son had been play acting like that, then come to him for help/protection against recourse he'd have little sympathy, as he sees Son's actions as despicable and should rightfully be called out.

There's a saying "ingen kjære mor" which basically means the same, if you've been acting a dick, and people are calling you a dick for it, no need to even try and go crying to mama for help.

TL:DR; Ole basically told Son to 'arden the feck up.

Did I miss the part of the interview where he said hunger is funny? Will meals be recalled because of what he said?

The fact that anyone can get offended by his statement says a lot about the current state of the world. Unbelievably pathetic to think this was anything but a badly articulated joke from someone whose mother tongue is not English. When people have nothing credible to moan about in their lives they will find reasons to be offended.

I wouldn't read too much into it. People will try to find anything to cause a stir and a discussion point when it comes to being "Politically Correct".

He is so sexist. Only good thing is he didn’t use the Heung-Min Daughter card.

It’s the way you tell them. Ole’s line would have worked better delivered by LVG.

Exactly this.

I agree with the pundits after the game. How can Jose be so annoyed with a comment like this and call it disrespectful when he was the cnut that used to shake the opposition manager's hand and walk down the tunnel before the games finished.

I think its strange that so many people get offended by this, but like others here already said, it could be a Scandinavian say or thing that makes me understand what he was talking about. And I am glad most people here get it.

The funny part was that Ole wondered why he needed 10 men helping him to get up after three minutes staying down. :0)

And why do the media keep om giving Mourinho the satisfaction of feeling smart by doing this shit, we all know its because he doesn't want to talk about his team. He is a smart man and a great manager, it would have been fantastic to listen to what he really think about the performers of both teams.

Skeletor moron Ole of Noggie Castle has single-handedly undone all the good work done by Sir Doctor Marcus Rashford. It's a disgrace. There'll be no beans on toast for the kids tonight.

Weirdly I’ve never seen him in casual clothes but this is exactly the type of thing I would expect a father who doesn’t feed his kids to wear.

Noah food for you tonight Son ;)

Ole at the wheel drives the other managers crazy:

Pioli: Your sister *uck kjzx...

Mourinho: Son’s father better person than ole, bread is bread, cheese is cheese

This is just a sad and ridiculous take.

Fecking 'ell mate, twas a joke?!

It was also a wonderful pun - since the diving prick is named, wait for it.........Son!

Double whammy by Ole!

Exactly what I thought about yesterday's comments and some of his interviews. Sometimes he goes on about some stories from before and you feel the cringe listening to him.
Surely he could've just said that he would've felt embarrassed with Son's acting had it been one of his players. But he probably tried to translate a metaphor from the Norwegian folklore and it gave Jose and other haters reason to criticise his words.
He even apologised later in his post match presser. If I was him I would've just explained that the choice of words was incorrect and iterate his point with better wording.

That's clearly what he meant.

It's said a bit wrong, "I'm not feeding him", but it's fairly akin to a common thing said here, "If you don't eat your vegetables, you're not getting desert". It's a way to faux threaten a child into doing the right thing, to get the reward.

Ole isn't literally starving his kid, ffs what a stupid thing to even think about.

Agree with this. Good post.

So far we have had ‘it was taken out of context’ whilst pointing out English (despite 18 years of learning) isn’t his first language and now it’s a Norwegian thing.

Good grief - the attempts to sweep away a moronic statement are laughable.

Unless, he hasn’t learned English in 18 years and Norwegian families starve their children if they’re ‘bad’ then just admit it was a stupid comment. Utterly ridiculous amount of sweeping on here. If this was said by Klopp, you’d all be howling at comments on RAWK. These are just as bad. Hilariously poor attempts to excuse OGS being a clown.

Doesn't require any sweeping, it was clear for anyone who can take things not at face value. While the rest of the world saw a figure of speech, Jose (who definitely knows better) decided to create some Dickens tale with it. It's probably the worst Jose has looked, alongside the finger jabbing and "specialist in failure". Real low point and it also reflects in their football. Meant to use this to deflect, but actually had the Streisand effect because how he reacted was beyond ignorant.
