Just seen this is coming out in October...there was me thinking they were going to do the right thing and end it at 5, not that 5 was bad but at the end of the day its all just the same thing isnt it?

You didn't think 5 was bad? Utter shite from my point of view. Should quit while they're ahead really (i think considering the worth of the others, that puts them ahead somewhat).

They are cheap to make, garner lots of money, therefore, expect at least another three.

i wouldnt say bad, granted it wasnt as good as the others but still very watchable I thought

Yea but a dying cat is watchable. Not a high accolade tbh.

i wish they would stop whoring it out, the first one was really good, the second was average, they should have left it alone after that.

The problem is they consistently make "BIG DOLLAZ!" They will continue to churn them out until that ceases to be the case.

I agree with you about the first and second, for the record.

The first one was brilliant, the ending was up there with some of the greatest I've ever seen, the second was also very good, the third was decent, the fourth was among the three worst films I've ever seen, fifth was an improvement but not as good as III. They should have stopped after the first one, second at the latest.

i watched the entire Saw I to V over 5 nights recently - had never seen any of them before - thought the first was very good, second was decent and then rapidly downhill from there.

I love watching the new and exciting ways of maiming and killing they come up with. The squirm factor is very important with them.

I loved 1 and 2. 3 was bad, but it (should have) concluded the story. 4 and 5 were horrible I felt.

Which was the one when they had that guy in that machine which sort of twisted his arms and legs round?

I watched that and I think it's left me scarred for life. Horrible.

I loved the first two, just because I found the imagination of the people coming up with new ways of torturing/killing people amusing. In fact, I really liked the first 3. Then it went rapidly downhill, and slightly confusing in 4, and 5 was shite, with not even nearly enough gore to make up for the lack of a coherent storyline. I have no doubt that 6 will be utter shite, and for the first year since the first one, I'm not actually looking forward to it.

The reason I liked the first few was because it was like a blockbuster version of all the indie horror movies I used to watch, with all the over-elaborate and unintentionally hilarious deaths. I'm not really bothered about the acting.

I think that was III. It was the black guy in the device, something to do with the main guy's kid getting run over.

Saw was excellent, the ending of II pissed me off because I thought it was a bit of a cop out, I don't like it at all. Then it went from bad to worse.

The first one was alright, the second was crap. Didn't see any others or even realise they had done so many at this point.

You don't like the gore, Spoons?

Well, I wouldn;t watch a film just for the gore - but that doesn't mean I hate it(Gore - Ichi's a masterpiece, you ought to watch it). As for mindless entertainment, I didn't think it was a least bit entertaining.
