People defend Amorim because they like him and want him to succeed. That’s not a bad thing. But yes, performances and results have been poor.

The reason he gets a bit of understanding and patience is because the performances and results were poor before too, with the same group of players, coupled with the fact he hasn’t been able to bring many of his own signings in.

He deserves time and a window or two. But we definitely need to see the green shoots of progress at the start of next season.

I’d probably have less reason to complain if we won football matches. Pretty sure Guardiola has never refused to play a single second without 5 defenders on the pitch. If we had a defender have to go off the pitch for treatment for thirty seconds Amorim would break into a cold sweat. I remember Mourinho getting maligned for doing it to see out games or away to Liverpool. Now we’re supposed to be happy we do it every week and lose.

We were already terrible when Amad and Martinez were available. Don't act like the way we play is just down to injuries. We got totally outplayed by the worst PL team of all time (up to that point) before being bailed out by a 12 minute hat-trick at the death.

You ain't going to see progress until summer, I'll save you the energy. I'd rather be logically, see what happens in summer, then fairly judge Amorim when he has some players in. No top red needed to expect that

I understand that in terms of football and results, the improvement is not there (perhaps yet), bar a couple of games.

We can all be critical towards some of his decisions.

But this is the second time we get a result after going a man behind, conceding after a few minutes, but we have managed to respond and hold. At least he can somehow inspire them to not give up. I can't recall many times in the past that we didn't collapse under similar circumstances.

Agree with this. We’ve been objectively worse since he came in and we were dire before that. This doesn’t inspire confidence.

Yes if not for Onana we dont concede, they had very few chances other than gifted goals. Even when we had 10 men.

If we had a Premier league-level goalkeeper and striker instead of Onana and Hojlund today this is a 5 or 6-0 win.

This team screams for a competent striker, even with 10 man if we had anyone who isn't called Rasmus Hojlund or Joshua Zirkzee upfront, this is 4-2 or 5-2 easily.

- we showed more intent (with little quality) in the first half, even with the early howler
- Team was resilient and was competitive even with 10 men

- System still feels negative and defenders see more of the ball than desired
- Some of the substitutions were quite baffling. Taking Garnacho off, replacing Hojlund with a midfielder rather than Obi
- Losing Dorgu for 3 matches
- Onana continues to be a huge liability
