So which one is better? Occasion wise, one is CL QF, while the other is United fighting for Europa place. You could argue, one against that clown Barthez, the other against Lloris. But for pure goals quality?? You judge.

Both iconic in their own way. Yes the CL was the bigger night and that hattrick will edge it but a 37 year old Ronaldo returning to the club that made him to bang a match winning Hattrick? That can't be too far behind.

Will also depend on how the end of the season pans out. If we go back to crapping ourselves and Ronaldo goes through another goal drought well, it won't be that memorable. If this is the part of the season will Ronaldo goes insane again and takes us deep into the Champions league, then this hattrick's status will be elevated even more.

That said, I still think the CL night, two of the worlds biggest clubs and an iconic player of the time puts that hattrick above this one.

Well, one was scored against United, the other against Spurs. Easy decision.

Can't believe how much of a mare Barthez had on that third one. It's low and closer to the middle of the goal than the corner.

I mean, ffs

Both hattricks are iconic its own.

I persoanlly prefer Ronaldo one as he did it in over harder context (already 37, every points counts to rescue Man Utd league season, playing with the likes of Rashford, Fred, Matic etc) vs L.Ronaldo (still at good physical age 27, while Real already leading first leg by 3-1 anyway, and he has peak Zidane and Figo behind him).

But quality wise, I think both are absolutely top quality goals, and a clear 10/10 performance. L.Ronaldo one even has opponents fans clapping for him and he was scoring against strong Man Utd team in big European night, so maybe he has the edge too,

One allows us a victory and the other does'nt.......I wonder which one :eek::eek:

Those CR7 hattrick are all him about. Long range, tap in, and powerful header.
His "typical" goals.

I thought this would be comparing CR7's two United hatricks . The spurs one was better.

In terms of this thread, the Real Madrid one is far more iconic...sadly.

For fecks sake you didn't need to remind of this disaster, my trauma is kicking in ,what a travesty that was.

The cl was ours that year and he blew all away with that horrendous performance, definitely one of Fergie bigger mistakes.

Anyway importance wise fat ronaldo's hat trick tops it especially because that match was seen as some sort of an early final of sorts at the time but quality wise today's hatrick edges it out.

That hattrick was kinda of a swan song for Nazario as even though he scored some more after that he was clearly past and this was his last great performance and last hurray , hopefully our own Ronaldo has some more left to give as we'll need it.

Edit: I looked at again and oh God what a godamn calamity the only goal that I won't blame him for is the second one , what mare he had. I always thought he was too short to be a decent keeper but he did have those great performances with olm and France national team so maybe it's just that short keepers age worse than their taller counterparts as the same happened to one of my favorites iker.

Ronaldo Nazario, it was against the best english team back then and in the UCL.
Spurs are far from being best of England, probably what would favour CR7 it's his age, but I'd take R9 hat-trick because it was the UCL.

Barthez's wife was a pain in the arse, and he was flying back and forth from France during the week because he was so pussy whipped. Once your concentration goes as a keeper, you're done. Had a great first season here, and a fantastic career previous, too. He was shocking in this game.
