New RPG title by Piranha Bytes, who did the old Gothic series. Looks like an interesting premise, and with all the threads on FIFA 10 at the moment I thought it'd be nice to get one going on an RPG!

Came out yesterday, I believe, and I just wondered if anyone has got it? There's a few reviews out, but they're all from sites I've never heard of so I'm not entirely sure I trust them! I do need a new game though, desperately...
 
PC version is beautiful and very engrossing. Combat is bloody difficult at the start because you really are very weak and you're best to avoid most enemies but after some training and some opportune thievery you'll be geared up to take on anything.

360 version on the other hand is an abortion, apparently they outsourced it to the local blind school because it looks like shit.

Yeh reading some of the reviews they suggest that Piranha might have been best off paying a little bit more money for a modern graphical engine, rather than one from the previous generation of games.
 
It's awesome. This is what Gothic 3 should have been. And the graphics in motion are quite nice, no problems there.
 
Ain't heard anything about this, but been thinking about starting a new RPG. I have The Witcher but I haven't gotten round to it yet
