Question about monitors

Wanting to get one for my dorm to play the 360. Question is can I get it running in HD? (720p is fine), and what kind of input will I need?

Secondly how can I get it tune TV? What sort of hardware/software will I need (assuming I'll also need a PC base unit).

Does it have to be HDMI? Ive heard that you can stream 720p on monitors using analog or RGB cables?

How much is a decent tuner btw? Prices seem to vary.

dvi or hdmi. (hdmi is pretty useless when it comes to monitors though..so go for a dvi monitor)

I think I've found a monitor with DVI, but it seems to not have a headphone socket. Would I need to buy external speakers to listen with headphones?

I've got a 24'' with HDMI, personally. Well, it's got DVI as well, but that is connected to my computer, while the HDMI is connected to the 360. So I'm literally two pressings of a button away from the 360.

the video quality is the same in dvi and hdmi.

hdmi also has audio which the dvi doesn't...but the speakers on monitors are shite anyways.

dvi + good external speakers is the way to go.

benq has nice dvi monitors and they're cheap aswell.
