Quantum of Solace

Going to see it in 2 hours. :D

Premiere today in Poland.

Not really as good as it was supposed to be. As it's already been pointed out, there was hardly any plot, the camera work during some of the action was extremely annoying. I'd rather it 7/10 which is not really what anyone would expect from a Bond movie.

I obviously sat next to some two spastic guys, both of whom decided that the movie was funny and laughed at random lines, then told each other really unfunny jokes until they were told to shut up. Seems to happen each time I go to cinema, I either sit next to some spastic or I am with a girl who feels that we should talk all the time during the movie, on random subject, it seems that there's no reasonable option for me.

Got a cool 007 key chain and a glass though. :D

I thought this was a bit shit. Most of the plot was pointless, and the random camera sweeps pissed me off. Some of the action scenes were way overdone as well.

Seemed overkill with the Bolivian General's character for him to be a rapist and all. You can see some scriptwriter there thinking "Hmm, this fella attempting a military coup just doesn't seem 'bad' enough, lets make him a serial rapist." Same kind of oversimplified stuff throughout really.

Still managed to be entertaining for the most part, and it will make a fecking mint regardless of the reviews its been getting.

I agree with this, the plot was all over the gaff. Also, how did the hell did that hotel get past the Fire Inspector.

Just saw it. It was decent, but not nearly as good as the last one.

Still got a soft spot for Craig as Bond. He adds a bit of steel and a certain edge that I like.

Some fat twats sitting in front my me kept laughing throughout the movie.

What for I will not know. Still managed to pour popcorns all over them after the movie and go "oops" though.

I saw this film last week. I cannot believe I spent 35 quid between tickets, popcorn and a drink. What a load of shite. That's 2 hours of my life I will never get back.

I like it how alot of people are like 'its a continuation of casino royal' even though all the books always reference back to a previous book. Craig is far closer to the bond i picture in my mind when im reading the books.

Thats the thing, most people who have watched Bond have never read the books. Craig is the most realistic even though the storyline is decades later. Fleming definitely didn't have Brosnan or Moore in mind when he wrote the books. Connery and Craig are more true to form.

Right on the spot, NJ.

It is a direct sequel to Casino Royal though! And in this instance, it wasn't based on any of Flemings books, it was an original screenplay

I have no problems with Craig, I think he's been a great Bond, a breath of fresh air. And they've been choosing some damn tasty Bond girls recently too! Sadly this particular film lacks though. They'll need to up their game again for the next installment

And Dalton. He wasn't very popular and in fairness I didn't think he was amazing, but he's that gritty, tougher character.

Perhaps Fleming didn't have Brosnan or Moore in mind when he wrote the books, but I still love the Moore films - the writers and directors of the films obviously did have that portrayal in mind or else they wouldn't have cast him, allowed him to play it like he did, or kept with him for 7 films.

That said, Quantum Of Solace is disappointed. There are at least 10 Bond films better.

I saw Max Payne today, and though it was a load of shite, I would just like to reiterate, "Olga Kurylenko "

It's working. It's made far more money than Casino Royale in the time it's been out, I read today. Can't remember exact figures.

Broke records on opening weekend or something didn't it?

It's a decent film, and there have been many worse Bonds than it. It's just a shame after breathing new life into the franchise, they come out with a relatively weak follow up

Presumably the damage is done, if people didn't like it, for the next Bond film?

Don't use writers that have written the two worst Bond films ever and a director that has never directed an action flick.

Plus, Craig is a good action hero, but he's no Bond, he can't deliver the lines, he's so rigid and has the charisma of a sledgehammer.

Watching this for the first time now, Not looking forward to it after reading these comments

I enjoyed it.

I'ma fan of Olga, but I didn't think she looked all that in this film

Gemma Arterton though

Anyone who can look hot dressed like that, is clearly doing something right

Finally saw this the other day, it was awful. The ending was crap, Bond finally gets the information out of Greene but we know feck all about what was said. Rubbish.
