It had better be better than the Bourne Ultimatum
I thought this was a bit shit. Most of the plot was pointless, and the random camera sweeps pissed me off. Some of the action scenes were way overdone as well.
Seemed overkill with the Bolivian General's character for him to be a rapist and all. You can see some scriptwriter there thinking "Hmm, this fella attempting a military coup just doesn't seem 'bad' enough, lets make him a serial rapist." Same kind of oversimplified stuff throughout really.
Still managed to be entertaining for the most part, and it will make a fecking mint regardless of the reviews its been getting.
Not really as good as it was supposed to be. As it's already been pointed out, there was hardly any plot, the camera work during some of the action was extremely annoying. I'd rather it 7/10 which is not really what anyone would expect from a Bond movie.
I obviously sat next to some two spastic guys, both of whom decided that the movie was funny and laughed at random lines, then told each other really unfunny jokes until they were told to shut up. Seems to happen each time I go to cinema, I either sit next to some spastic or I am with a girl who feels that we should talk all the time during the movie, on random subject, it seems that there's no reasonable option for me.
Got a cool 007 key chain and a glass though.![]()
I like it how alot of people are like 'its a continuation of casino royal' even though all the books always reference back to a previous book. Craig is far closer to the bond i picture in my mind when im reading the books.
Thats the thing, most people who have watched Bond have never read the books. Craig is the most realistic even though the storyline is decades later. Fleming definitely didn't have Brosnan or Moore in mind when he wrote the books. Connery and Craig are more true to form.

When's the next one out?

it was nothing other than a money spinner to cash in on the name
It's working. It's made far more money than Casino Royale in the time it's been out, I read today. Can't remember exact figures.
Don't use writers that have written the two worst Bond films ever and a director that has never directed an action flick.
Plus, Craig is a good action hero, but he's no Bond, he can't deliver the lines, he's so rigid and has the charisma of a sledgehammer.
Have you guys seen Maddox's review?
