PS3 freezing

Happened while playing Racedriver GRID, twice already. Both times while I was online. Is it a reason for concern?

Cant find much on the PS3 forums.. some say their consoles were freezing while playing Burnout Paradise and that there should be some fixes or patches coming out soon, dont really know what all that means. But is seems it's the game which causes it and not the console itself. Right?
 
Well update 3.0 has allegedly made some games freeze/play up notably Drakes Uncharted.

There is a new update 3.01 which supposedly fixes the problem. It's a long-shot but it might work.

It's not an automatic update, you have to chose system update on the XMB.

My Uncharted seems stable after I installed it, it crapped out twice on 3.00.

This is true, thanks Doc. I updated mine last night but interestingly, I borrowed uncharted from a friend last week and it worked on version 3.0. Admittedly I only played the first 30 minutes or so of the game though.

Yeah, both times it froze about 30 - 40 min into it. The second time just as I was rushing into a gun fight :mad:.

I had a good few hours on it last night with no hassle.

You have me confused with Dog Toffee, there.

So there is a new update? Look like I'll be busy today when I get home.
 
My PS3 froze quite alot when I was playing Fallout 3. Particularly during the bit at the end with

the big feck-off robot

Managed to get through it after about five attempts.
