He isn't a United man, so I don't expect him to understand the rivalry. Watching him pretend to was a bit painful.

However, it's not his fault he was handed the captaincy. It just goes to show the lack of leadership we have, which I suspect is also part of the reason why we can look amazing at times and then stroll around the next.

Wouldn't be surprised if Maguire was swapped shirts with Hendo and having a laugh after the game, bantering about beating him ping pong at the next england camp.

You're blaming the players? Maguire is unfit, and has been rushed back from injury. Ole has Bailly, possibly Jones can't be arsed to check but he takes the easy way out, probably assuming in his head that Maguire can positive vibe his way into conjuring up a decent performance.

When Ole leaves, McKenna and Carrick should be off as well. On-job-training coaches shouldn't be anywhere near a club with the expectations of Man Utd.
This I agree with 100%. The problem is Ole Gunnar. We need a new management setup, bottom to top. That and maybe two new players and we are right up there. Its especially tragic because of the quality in the squad. And its not laziness or unwillingness on the part of players, its confusion. Plain and simple. Lack of any plan.

No I’m not blaming the players. Some of them are not good enough but that is not the point I was making at all.

That was a game of pure chaos from one side and controlled -almost second gear- effectiveness from the other.

I don't even think Liverpool were that brilliant in the first half; we were just far worse. Both teams lost the ball incredibly cheaply but the difference was that when Liverpool clicked into gear they were absolutely devastating. Salah is the best player in the world which helps too but their fullbacks, centre backs and Henderson just played the game really effectively. Our opposing players were a shambles in comparison.

On a side note on something that never gets mentioned, questions remain over our fullbacks for me; we all know about the bad midfield, the manager and the defence but the performances of the two opposing full backs was crazy. Shaw is a very patchy player who can look world class (World cup and good chunks of last seasons) and then just seems to suddenly look bereft of confidence. And AWB....he's pulled apart all over the place too often. He's got time on his side and potential but I just don't see him as a successful signing yet (he's nowhere near a failure either by the way). Both could do with a spell on the sidelines to get their act together.

McTominay looked ridiculously unfit and behind the pace of everything btw.

Consistant individual errors... It's Shaw, he is a fecking liability in this team... Don't believe me, watch our games this season and this one was the cherry on top... always cannot put a block in and out of position in every defensive phase. We always concede from that left back position. Hell against Everton he was found at right back for the Townsend goal. People were arguing with me when I said it before... that he was player of the season... bullshit. Being English does not make you automatically a great player....Jose was right... SHAW IS SHITE!

I feel we could have outplayed them but we were playing like scared girls in the first half...too defensive and didn't want to play with the ball, that was the game plan because it worked before but not the right move. .

Bruno and everyone skying shots because they can't think clearly as we were too nervous. First 5 minutes in and we could have been on top. Bruno could have passed to Rashford for a tap in even.

And let's not start with Rashy, because he was busy studying for his fecking MBE... the useless c*nt. Could've went for his surgery instead of waiting till after Euros and needed to recover in our new season... Stealing a living. Should concentrate more on his football because we pay his fecking salary.
What the hell.

Neville wants to blame the players but refuses to call out the obvious - the manager is out of his depth.

Why does anyone care about what he says. He is nothing to do with United anymore. Just an employee of Sky.
I am more interested in what Ole has to say on what happened today and what he intends to do about it.

Wtf do you want him to say? Do you want an in-depth analysis? The lad was apologetic and respectable whilst acknowledging the fans amazing support today.
Personally I’d like him to acknowledge that it’s utter embarrassing, and that he’s sorry, the team are sorry that we had to watch that. I want to hear a semi excuse, like he’s not fit or they’re struggling to adapt to a new system, something that gives us an insight, instead of that tired shit.

You can’t be that bad and just say “we’ll be better”. When you’re that bad you have to explain why you’re that bad and then explain what you’re going to do to fix it ASAP.

You can roll out cliches when you lose 1-0.

I'm not even angry, just totally numb with shock - worst defeat against Liverpool in 50 years as a United fan.......gutless!

It's this exactly.
Normally against Liverpool you feel the stress.

But when you know it's near the end of a manager's reign, you just have that resigned feeling.

For once, The Caf is Completely United in opinion and the solution! Wow, I was wondering if I’d ever see it!

Because he's contributing to the idea that Ole isn'tto blame here. When he's totally to blame.

Look at the squad we have, and look at how they're performing. It's outrageous.

Solskjaer looked distinctly nervous when Shreeves broached the question about whether he was good enough. I think he knows he’s basically giving his final speech to the priest before he goes to the electric chair.

Ole interview shows how utterly clueless he is in managing top players and a top side. Wont give up. At the wheel? At The Wheel pub maybe but not now leading the biggest club on the planet

Don't forget they smashed 4 past us at OT in May. The end of last season showed we weren't as close as we thought.

Yes sure. I understand all of that.
But you already know that he is talking rubbish. That is my point.

True. But he’s not the root of the problem and he is a good lad. Brilliant player when fit as well.

In the back 4 he is supposed to be the main man, he is the fecking captian. Yet, he's regularly the one making stupid mistakes, caught miles out of position, not marking up or just plain ball watching.

He is definitely a massive problem back there.

Let's not go over the top with Rashford work out of football.

Can we have another caf scouser cull again, pretty please?

What can you say after such a performance? We need a new manager to get this lot into shape, Ole is incapable of doing the job. Also there were some disgusting individual displays out there today too.
Played like we do nothing in training but have tea. The players were total strangers to each other, had no idea what to expect of anyone with or without the ball. No tactics, no plan, no organization.

Fair play to Carragher. The ultimate humiliation. He says it. Neville should have and not give him the pleasure.
