I remember LVG putting RVP in the reserves and telling him to get lost. We should've done the same with Lingard and Martial instead of promising them game time.

Why the hell did we keep VDB if he doesn't want to be here and we don't rate him? Recall Garner and give him his 5 minute cameos. Then move on from him as well if he doesn't make it or wants to leave.

We've completely failed at the basics of squad management. And then there's the point of no one in the world paying silly wages like we do, making it impossible to sell/loan players.

Yep. We can't be selectively ruthless or the next dressing room will just end up in disarray. Player privilege and even playing time privilege is how this whole mess started in the first place. Tired of seeing underperformers make the same mistake every week. Many of them even break entire possessions on their bad days.

Everyone is looking at the Lingards and VDBs, they are easy targets when there's plenty indication the starters are also part of the chaos. The biggest dressing room factions are all starters. When Shaw leaked that the dressing room weren't together after the loss he wasn't just talking fringe players. Everyone has to be made to feel the heat and consequences of causing a distraction.

Agree completely. And it needs to be without showing special treatment to the most expensive signings or the academy players. The whole squad needs to be shaken up and mentality changed, and ANYONE that doesnt want that should be shown the door.

I wouldn't. We'd just be hoofing diagonal balls to the edge of the box after 20 minutes of every game so that Fellaini could flick them on to no one.

Now we are hoofing to no one in particular and passing the ball to the opposition . At least with Fellaini you know that he is going to control the ball with his chest and we do not have to hit every corner to Maguire so that he can head over the bar always. The problem with Fellaini was that he became Plan A while he should always be Plan B. McTominay would never get into the Belgium squad while Fellaini was a regular.

And Roy Keane ripped into Maguire in public as well. You may have a problem with the old school mentality of tough love and discipline to draw the best out of players, but I ask for more of it because it is the best way to draw the bad weeds out. I have no sympathy whatsoever for anyone bitching and moaning because the new boss is asking to work harder after the old boss was a weakling who allowed the team team/company go to shit. This. It’s past the point of players not wanting to press, we simply have too many players who don’t deserve to be here. I remember seeing the reports that the players think it’s a holiday camp. I believe that’s no joke, we have allowed players to go stale Lingard, DVB etc. plus allowed some to retire on full pay, Mata, Matic etc, brilliant footballers in their day but those days are gone).

I don't have an issue with that. But I have a hard time taking it seriously from someone like Howson.
