Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Things are getting embarrassing now for all concerned. We should pull the plug on this. If he wanted to come, it would have happened - I honestly think we are being used to being Real (clearly Pogba's first choice) into negotiations.

He never said that at all. He said Pogba's a Juve player and we must respect Juve so he can't say anything anymore on the player.

According to Sky Sports he said both those things:

"I do not know, so far we are here (Columbus) working.
"Until August 31 anything can happen. He is not yet a Madrid player. We cannot talk about what will happen.
"The question is direct and I always say things. But now is not the time to talk about it. Everyone is interested in Pogba. He is a great player and when you're with Madrid you always want the best. Now you have to respect some things, he is a Juve player, today I cannot say anything."

I read that. So obvious they're in for him and think theyll get him

FWIW, if they do bid, i think hell pick them

DDG was hell bent on leaving last season.
Had Jose not come this Summer, DDG would definitely have left us this season. No Galactico class player wanted to join us under LVG. We had 2 such players - 1 left and the other did his best to leave, but Madrid messed up the Fax.
Now that Jose is here, DDG is 100% committed to MUFC.

Before Bale/Ronaldo signed for Madrid, they expressed their desire and love for Madrid.
Has Pogba done this, with regards to MUFC?

If this was a £20M transfer, I wouldn't be fussed if the player was half hearted. But for a World Record, like Bale and Ronaldo before him, I'd expect something to come from Pogba.
I've heard absolutely nothing from Pogba (I want to join MUFC). Not one thing.

You're assuming all players are the same. They're not. Firstly, you have no idea of what Pogba really wants apart from a few articles, most of which are fabricated. Secondly, you don't give up a chance to sign one of the best midfield talents of his generation on the chance that we're not his preferred destination. If we were to only sign players who loved Manchester United and who had us as their preference we wouldn't be able to sign many, if any top tier talent. That's the harsh reality. We had a season where DDG was still bent of leaving, yet he had arguably his best season for us. These people are professionals.

Just because he's not running around confessing his love for United to the streets, doesn't mean squat. You don't know about what his agent and the several other parties involved have asked of him.

Also, he has spoken a few times about how he still loves the club. It was posted earlier on in this thread.

Yes, like Pogba can force Juventus and interested parties to agree a fee

Jesus it's not even Pogba delaying, we've already got a deal with him! it's the clubs arguing about Raiola's compensation.

It's like a massive boom bust cycle in here, akin to the scousers "it's our year!" cycle.

They've taken the quote and twisted it. He DID NOT say it in those words, only the lower quote.

Good heavens but some muppets are slow. That's yesterday's news and was proven to be false already.
Sorry I'm not as much of an up-to-date muppet as you!

If you took the time to read the thread instead of jumping on peoples misinformed comments to try and look ITK you'd see that I've already responded to the fact that it's old news, when a much quicker Muppet than you pointed it out!

The sentiment of my post, as I said to him, is still accurate though … perhaps you should go back and bother to read it!

I dunno, i still think Pogba is dithering a bit waiting to see what Madrid do. May have an agreement with Utd, but has one eye on them too

Oh dear. Prepare for impending meltdown!

People: Every single reliable journalist have said that Real is not in the picture.

Stop being terrified of this 'monster' that is Real Madrid, that seems to haunt your worst nightmares.

Time to let this one go, too expensive and PP has yet to show any kind of desire to come back.

Closing in on , if reports are to be believed, a £250m deal over five years. At that level, with this player, no ta.

Thanks Jose. Mind giving us a heads up on who you're interested in?

And he would choose Barcelona over Real. Barca aren't in for him either.

Sure but not worried about Barcelona as they have cleanly ruled out moving for Pogba. If Zidane had done something similar, we would not be having this conversation at all.

My point is not that Pogba is definitely moving to Madrid but that a deal with either United or Madrid is not certain either way.

Somebody else tweeted him to ask if it was true is why.

He replied by saying that he had no idea what any of it was about. I get the impression he was just a different doctor who shared the same name, actually.

The hospitals in question (The one the twitter Doc and AS mention) were the same or part of the same group and both are in Miami. AS specifically mentioned the Doc and the hospital (Jackson Memorial). The doc who replied on Twitter shares the name of the Doc in AS article and works at the Baptist Hospital in Miami. How many Italian doctors would be sharing the same name and profession in Miami? Come on.

More selfconfidence, lads!

If Madrid signs Pogba, we should switch to the-"We were never interested but wanted to push the price for the white circus"-narrative.

Didn't realise the hospital was the same. Probably the right bloke then, but it sounded like he'd neither been booked or cancelled for a medical!

Just common sense / memory longer than a goldfish.

Look at the longest threads... Vidal, Thiago, Sniejder, Fabregas... the only one with as many posts that actually came off was Berbatov, and that was 8 years ago.
So you are saying because it's a long thread on red cafe the transfer won't happen? For god sake...

If the Italian press were saying "Perez is having a conference call and a 115m euros has been agreed" yes I will panic. They aren't in the negotiation table, we are!.

The Zidane comments were twisted and apparently Raiola is set to settle for £15 million instead

So now all that's left is the payment structure. This could take 2 or 3 more days to settle.

I think we will have a definitive outcome by Friday.

Essentially, yes. A stupidly long thread is a good indication of a highly ambitious transfer getting drawn out for a long time. And in those circumstances we never come out well.

Most of the press are just stabbing in the dark and repeating what each other say. I've seen plenty of deals appear out of nowhere... not least Gomes the other day.

No point trying to tell these people, they will believe what they want. At the first sign of Zidane or Madrid they are running for the hills waving the white flag. Hilarious.

Maybe Juventus want to sell to us but Pogba and Raiola are stalling, trying to convince/force them to accept a Real Madrid's lower offer.

If this drags on a week or two more I bet he ends up in Madrid.

And what's more, if he did feck off to Madrid in his prime, we'd make a big profit on him anyway (as long as we keep on top of his contract!).

That said, I'm still not convinced he's not going to Madrid this summer.:(
I think we'd be very unlucky should Pogba not move to us this summer. To be honest if it's agent fees that's doing us in I wouldn't be all that arsed. Something needs to be done about the likes of Raiola.
