Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

More like it shows that we as a club in his eyes were not worth of his patience, never mind chance to play under one of best managers ever. If he signed a new contract with us,i believe SAF would see that as huge positive and he would get a lot more of first team games.

Stop living in a fairytale. He is going to go where he can play, simple as. He was ready for first team appearances, everyone knew it, but SAF tried his OTT man-management and it backfired. Not worth his patience, Christ. He was the second most promising talent in our academy and was behind an ex-retiree asthmatic and a right back.

He got offered similar conditions at a club just as reputable whilst also being guaranteed first team football. He is no United fan so obviously he will take that opportunity.

In fact I'd counter your argument and say if he was given more chances he would of signed a new contract.

Devil's advocate: You're basing all that on the assumption that we have a deal with the player though. The truth is we don't know if we do. Dimarzio (and his minions) is the only reputable journalist pushing this, and he's known to mess up every now and then.

The risk of Real swooping in and fecking it up is real, it's not craziness or paranoia.

Yes it is. If Real where truly interested you will hear Zidane, Perez and every Madrid player you ever heard of talking about Pogba. AS and Marca would go bananas with extra papers. Raiola would start to dance outside Bernabeu. Pogba would make Twitter comments in Spanish. Even the Pope would be involved.

So, to be absolutely straight to you. Paranoia is the right word.

Better to look silly on net then real life :) Say it again in English. The idea that I look silly and others don't is pretty stupid. I've been consistant with everything I've said. I've not changed my mind every 5 seconds. If you have something to contribute, say it but don't make personal attacks. It's childish and really petty. If people misunderstand, try again to express your point and maybe i'll agree. Simple as that.

Yea...ok...

I'm so tired of the Raphael excuse. Why didn't he stay and fight for his place? What a Prima Donna at aged 19. Yeah a fullback was played ahead of him? So what? A player with real character would rise to the challenge of the manager. Instead Pogba walked away. Seems to me there is nothing but excuses for Pogba. Same crap with the euros, 'oh but poor Paul was played out of position'. When does he step up to the plate? At the same age Roy Keane was able to dominate in CD, CM and even CF for Forest, so we rightly signed him. This guy Pogba is nothing but a list of excuses for when he underperforms yet we break the world record for him? Give me a break.
I question your love for the club, "Raphael"? Get a grip man.

can anyone actually post the actual link from La Stampa? I can't find it. Don't worry I will translate it

For the first time in weeks, I am less confident that we will get him. Maybe something has changed for Real and they have decided to match our bid but the noises coming out of Spain are not nice.

I don't care that much about if the deal falls through (pretty used to us missing out on big targets) but I just hope Woody and Mourinho know what they are doing and that they have a proper back up player in case this deal falls through.
The noises from Spain are the same, zz has said the same last week and before the Euro's which is basically anything can happen without saying anything at all. Marca have been saying that RM don't want him and laughing at the numbers, AS have been sniping like bitter teenage girls with proven fiction stories that work there way to other shitty papers like the sun.

Juve will be the first to grab our money off the table and seal the deal.

Real won't pay anything close to what we're offering, and sure as hell won't pay any part of Raiola's fees.
This. As I said before, if Real were genuinely in this, we'd have signed him before now by outbidding Madrid.

You dismiss the likes of DiMarzio and other reputable sources and promotes your own crazy idea as a more 'feasible' option. That is indeed craziness and paranoia.
Neither is craziness or paranoia. Claiming either is makes you sound foolish though.

You are living on a different planet.

I'm living in the real world. Not in FIFA 16. Genuine desire to want to play for a club counts for a lot. Look at all the most successful big money moves recently. Bale openly wanted to join Madrid, it was his dream. Suarez and Neymar were the same with Barça. There is not one shred of evidence that Pogba respects United. Let alone has a desire to return and lead our midfield. That's the reality.

Except that it can't happen IF Pogba wants to go to Madrid. The direction of the deal depends mainly on where Pogba wants to play. If Real do not want him, then United are favourites. But Zidane seems to think otherwise.

There's not a shred of evidence to suggest Pogba doesn't want to join us. It's all in your paranoid head.

You're living in the past, the days of Roy Keane are gone, get a grip. Comparing him to Roy Keane is very odd too, given that they are completely different players. He didn't stay and fight for his place because he was ready for first team football, and if he wasn't going to get it here he is going to get it somewhere else. I guess Chicha is a prima donna too?

Pogba underperforms? Ya, you must be much better at judgement of ability in regards to professionals, one of which a manager who has won everything multiple times at multiple clubs.

How do you know he doesn't want to play for us? You are just drawing conclusions based on speculations.

No, it's what you choose to believe.

I think he did praise the club in past and left the door open, the fact he has not kicked up a fuss so that Madrid can low ball Juventus and happily agreed to come to us means, he has a connection to us. He is not getting forced to come back.

There is a lot more evidence stating that he does want a move back to United than not. And I'm talking about what Pogba himself has said, not what the media claims he wants.

When has Pogba actually stated that he wants to go to Madrid or sees himself playing there? If so, link? I've requested this many times in the past, but I never get the facts. Pogba has stated that he still fancies United and has many friends here. He didn't want to leave, but felt he had to. His words.

The only Twitter accounts worth even remotely believing in any transfer saga are always the player, the agent and the 2 clubs. 99.9% of others are just inventing stories for attention. There's no way of knowing the legitimate 0.1%.

So what are you doing in this thread then? Go setup camp in the Manchester United Forum.

The mere mention of AS,. MARCA, Zidane or Madrid, thread becomes:

http://bit.ly/29NdgFD
Yes. Surprised that no one has mentioned the updated odds on Skybet. Leaning more and more towards a Madrid move :wenger:

On a serious note, I'm really tired of all these so called reliable papers(l'Équipe, Stampa etc.) reporting that we are close to a done deal when they all make sure to make stupid reservations such as "payment structure needs to be sorted", "subject to Raiola's fee being sorted", "Barring any last second surprises" etc. As long as they make these reservations I don't see any reason to believe any of it. Let's wait for something conclusive/something from the BBC.

How are the people being hysterical over nothing (according to this thread) different from the hordes of idiots who are 100% sure he's signing any day now, also based on nothing?

Damn, I would not hooked upto "the matrix" 4 hours ago.
I got a little behind.
:wenger:

no problems. To basically cut it short, we agreed the fee, everyone seems to have compromised their positions slightly, and now it's down to payment type and woodward confirming.....IF nerozzi is right. Next big update is Di marzio which should be today.

Ic. Its not on their website

As promised

Pogba will leave Juventus as a 100m euro signing although the fee for United will actually be 115 (the rest will go for various commissions including that to Mino). Yesterday Mino had met Beppe Marotta and they have sorted out the last details details. Woodward will be in contact with Juventus either today or tomorrow and to sort the deal. Pogba was signed as a free transfer from United and will leave for a big sum. That's the deal of the century

PS: Calciomercato wasn't that optimistic though (I posted it previously).

Real are CL champions, United 5th in the EPL. Their manager Zidane is a French legend that he likes. La Liga is the most attractive league for the star players, etc. There is plenty of indirect evidence even if there are no quotes. Only a very optimstic person would think that Pogba would prefer to play for United right now.

Putting forward an opinion, same as the other 675 pages have been so far :). This isn't a Twitter only thread by the way, I'd like to see more opinions about whether people actually want him and where he would fit in. With the rumours it's becoming a farce.

Now isn’t the time to talk about it. Pogba interests everyone. He’s a great player and when you’re Madrid, you always want the best.

Zidane was then later asked whether Madrid would need to sell James Rodriguez in order to fund a move for Pogba. His response was pretty clear: “James plays for Real Madrid. I’m not going to get involved in the ‘one must leave so another can arrive’ talk. James is going to stay at Real Madrid.

Looks like clickbait fooled everyone :lol:
