It is embarrassing that some one actually has to point this out. Not sure why, but I expected better from you mugs...

Well not only that, but if you put that ITK's name into google translate, it translates as 'Huge Ass'!

Ive got a lot of respect for your opinion so I have to ask, like what kind of evidence?

I agree with you from the perspective of: these sagas happen every summer and rarely come off, ergo this one wont come off either. That's a nice, simple, cynical view I can get on board with. But evidence? Isnt it just a case that once in a while you go to sign someone and it pans out? It seems to me with many of the signings that have actually come off there was no evidence they would come off before they did. The only evidence you usually get with these things is time, to see whether they pan out or not, no?

Usually, there'll be something from the player himself, or one of the clubs involved, to make it fairly obvious the player is leaving, and then it is (usually) fairly obvious where they are going because actual meetings take place and stuff.

Ibra for example...obviously leaving PSG due to his contract, and fairly obvious he was going to United because of what he himself was saying in response to questions. The player who's name I can't spell from Dortmund...Dortmund made no secret he was leaving and even announce it was going to be to United well before the deal was done.

When there is nothing from anyone directly involved it usually means nothing is happening. Not always but nearly always.

he's an athlete that appeals to the modern youth. If you've used snapchat or vine, the culture is heavily influenced by American trap music. It's why the biggest musician right now breaking all sorts of records is a raper called Drake.

Pogba, unlike Ronaldo, is influenced by this culture. It makes him marketable.
Drake is Canadian. He does not make trap music and he is not breaking any records. The only artist breaking musical records recently is Adele.

As much as I would love Pogba back here, I want this clusterfeck of a transfer to be done in the next two weeks or Juventus can feck off. Dithering with transfers just never works, we ask Juve what they want and pay up or leave it off and move on to new targets. We are too big a club to be messed with, there are plenty of other quality midfielders who want to play for us and if Pogba isn't sure about joining us then we should be moving on as soon as possible. Surely the club must know by now if this can be done or not and if so it should be finalised in the next week before he goes on holidays. Our pre-season is starting, we have a new manager and brought in new faces, everyday this transfer isn't finalised yet is a wasted day.

Bloody hell man, all I said was that the title should be changed after a significant figure in the saga said something that hasn't been mentioned before. I wasn't the one who said "OH ITS OVER, KILL THREAD". I admit my reaction is a little odd, but I was genuinely flabbergastered at your initial reply to me in that I was being dramatic. All I fecking did was ask for the title to be changed. Can you seriously not appreciate that's what I was doing?

No I understand you now. What I want you to understand from me is that I was not saying that you are the instigator or the person responsible for the emotional rollercoaster of this thread. I used your post to show how people react to such posts and I was not directly criticizing the post itself more rather I was showing that people need to just read the post and not necessarily flood the forum with "I knew it was never going to happen" etc etc. So to be clear I am not saying that you are a drama queen because I fully expect this thread to have some supposed quotes from source A,B,C etc. But What I can't stand is the overreaction to them.

I love you really:)

What's him being Canadian have to do with this?

He makes rap music. He makes dancehall music. He makes pop music. He makes trap music. Versace? That's trap. Tony Montana with Future? That's trap. He made an entire Mixtape with Future that was trap. He works with the biggest trap producer called MetroBoomin.

And, yes, he is breaking records. His album has been #1 for longer than any previous rapper. He's about to break Michael Jackson's Thriller record for longest number onw with the song 'One Dance', and he's just released his 6th Platinum project in a row.

The examples I was thinking of from last season were the Schmidfielders. I dont recall any actual "evidence" either of them were coming before they came? It was just like the Pogba saga, I think? A lot of smoke, leaving you wondering whether there was a fire or someone had just burnt a piece of toast?

I cite those as most of the others seemed to happen pretty quickly, but those two dragged on a bit as a recall...

Are we being used a la Ramos again?

There are some differences between Ramos and Pogba.

Ramos was Madrid captain. He was worshipped there. He is settled, family, etc. He was happy there for many years. There was no reason for him to leave.
Also, we had LVG, who does not like Galactico class players. No Galactico was realistically ever going to join after Di Maria and DDG both wanted out.
Furthermore, Madrid are Madrid. Every top footballer wants to play there (for various reasons).

Now, with Pogba, he is not getting paid anywhere near what MUFCwill pay him. Also, MUFC are equal with Juve in terms of pulling power (we have money, they have better on-pitch performance and CL football).
MUFC fans think MUFC is bigger. Juve fans think Juv are better.
But the one thing which we have going in our favour this season is the Mourinho factor.
Last season, LVG was a negative for top players, who refused to join us, no matter the cost. We had 2 Galactico class players and both were desperate to leave.

So, the Ramos situation and Pogba situation are different.

In the nicest sense, I think you two guys are just re-enforcing what I said.

Are we happy to settle for a bunch of merceneries like Abu Dhabi Athletic, Chelski and Al-Psg ?

Thought we were better than that 'cos it's a dangerous, slippy slope once you're on it.

How are we mercenaries? The biggest problems we have with clubs as such as you have mentioned, their wealth has come from a 3rd party. Our wealth, is based on our success and business acumen!

Also, if you do not move with the times, we will be left behind.

Did Suarez want to go to Barca, you bet he did. Did Barca have to smash their own transfer fee? Yes they did. Does Messi want to play for another club, doesn't seem it. Is he one of the top paid players in the world? Yes he is.

So, I really don't see where you're going with your argument?!

Hmm, well the situation with Ibra was different as he was leaving on a free. I don't remember Dortmund making no secret of the fact Mki was leaving. In fact, wasn't their line that United's offer wasn't big enough and they'd make him see out his contract. Then they mentioned a few days later that a much improved offer had come in. Meanwhile Raiola was saying that he wanted to move to us.

The problem with Pogba is that he has 3 years left on his contract and the last Juve said anything about him was a few weeks ago when they said something waffly like they wanted him to stay.

I think this transfer has more legs than you think, despite the relative absence of quotes. Particularly us doing business through Raiola twice already. Too much of a coincidence for me.

Agree. Quality of this thread heading downhill.
I've never seen a muppet thread like this that doesn't. We all suffer a slow dissent into madness waiting for news and reading tweets from people who have no more of an idea what they're talking about than us (hell, they probably use this thread as their source).

Just enjoy the ride man, let go of all sense, it's the best way to get through the transfer season.

Also bare in mind that the brakes always fail on this ride and you're left crying on the floor because your muppet dreams have not been fulfilled.

I think youll find a band called Blink-182 are currently number one in the album charts. But I have no idea what relevance Pogba has to do with Drake, for all you know hes into jazz and spends his evenings practising scales on his sax.

Doesn't Drake make pop music for 14 y/o girls anyway?

This is like listening to people talk at the tail end of a 3 day bender.

Think you misunderstood - the overwhelming majority of their players are mercenaries - and that I don't want at OT...Ever...End of !

And does Pogba want to come to come to us ?

A simple YES or NO from either himself or his pimp, today, is all that's needed

I've just literally walked in on this potential Man United transfer thread to be dealt this. What is my life?

How are we talking about Drake in the Pogba thread?

Stop requesting PMs, if you want information from somebody either PM them to request it or better yet realise it's bullshit and don't waste your time.

Good grief, Jazzy, they're about as charismatic as Pop-Tarts. On the field of play, yes, they are enigmatic and highly talented...much like Pogba. Granted that wearing glassless glasses and a waistcoat seemingly designed by the blind at award ceremonies does not make one Muhammad Ali, but that's what passes for personality these days.

They certainly have more personality/presence than Pogba/Rooney:D
Let's face it, be a long time before we get an Ali or Senna.

Wish that applied to a few other people round here.

This place is in the grip of some collective hysteria. It's gone beyond muppetry.

Agreed. I can't remember a transfer thread going the way this one has.

Poor @Rado_N keeps repeating himself

------------------Zlatan

Martial----------Pogba--------That guy we bought from Munich B

------------Morgan----Herrera

Shaw---Smalling----Bally---Valencia/TFM

-----------------De Gea

Would be good to watch that team. Get it done. Pogba in a floating role depending on if we have the ball. Should be able to beat Leicester City etc...

This thread!
Got my co-workers wondering what the hell I'm laughing about!
