Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Over a year you say? And what has he done to prove he is the fountain of all knowledge on Paul Pogba during this time?

There's a lot of people kidding themselves in this thread. I like the idea of signing Paul Pogba but there isn't a single shred of credible evidence that it might happen...and with transfers that actually end up happening there nearly always is.

It is less stupid than a 290+ page thread of people on the internet working themselves up into a frenzy about their team signing a player, based on pretty much nothing at all.

On what basis are these people who you say are reliable, more reliable than a Juve fan, or say, Paul Pogba himself, for example? Why WOULD they know anything? Are they Pauls best mates? Do Juventus or Pogba's agent just tell them everything that's going on for a laugh? Think about it sensibly for a few seconds.

Heard of yes...I've heard of lots of things that I don't go around the internet pretending to be an expert about. For example, courgettes.
Ive got a lot of respect for your opinion so I have to ask, like what kind of evidence?

I agree with you from the perspective of: these sagas happen every summer and rarely come off, ergo this one wont come off either. That's a nice, simple, cynical view I can get on board with. But evidence? Isnt it just a case that once in a while you go to sign someone and it pans out? It seems to me with many of the signings that have actually come off there was no evidence they would come off before they did. The only evidence you usually get with these things is time, to see whether they pan out or not, no?

Cant believe people are still reading that Juventuz forum. Just a collection of WUM's and immature kids, more deluded than Arsenal Mania. Irrelevant forum for an irrelevant club in an irrelevant league

He literally says nothing after this. Sounds like he's going to tell a bedtime story, but in the end we get a happy ending :D

The ABSOLUTE most i can read into this is that Jose, via a Chelsea bid and now MUFC bid somehow means something to Pogba.

Other than that, it's nothing more than a useless factoid.

Why do we have to fart around with Pogba and his pimp, anyway.

I want players who want to play for us - not just for whoever pays the highest salary.

Said it before and will say it again - these two have shit on us once and will shit on us again. Whether right now, this deal, or if we do sign him, then we'll have the same blackmail in a few years time as his contract starts to run down assuming he's a good as his hype - which I don't think he is.

He's just a French ' Look at me ' version of Kerry Catona or Katie Price without the knockers.

I want players who will crawl over broken glass in the road to play for us, not those who just want to use us for their own benefit.

You can talk all you want, but the fact is the title was changed so do you fancy calling the Mod who changed it erratic and emotional and something about being a Beiber boy or something.

You are being very defensive... Once again your missing the point. I am calling for people not to mass panic and flood the thread with overly emotional and erratic posts. If that included a mod then so be it, if that included you then so be it. The point that I was making was not aimed at the title change it was an example of the overall trend of the thread. Not sure why you are touting the word mod in an attempt to threaten or scare me. I really don't let other people affect my thinking nor do I need validation from others. Life goes on...

please stop trying to turn this into something it is not.

It's pretty simple, Poggerz(as Rooney and co. will likely call him because they can't use peoples real names for some reason), gets Jose's dick hard.

Its a nice sentiment. But if we want to compete at the top level we'll probably have to accept that most of the best footballers dont have any loyalties to any specific clubs, and if they do the chances are that club is not us. And even fewer footballers will crawl over broken glass, not for anything less than £500k a week.

The irony and audacity of you calling them a WUM

Reports from L'equipe stated that Pogba told his teammates he was leaving and this was conducted in an interview with him during the Euros. Lou Macari also said Pogba has also made his decision on where to go next but I don't know how well his credibility is.

This points me to believe Raiola is trying to save Paul's back and make him look the good guy. Imagine the rage of the Juventus fans if it was revealed that he really wanted to join United.

Even more so since we're in the Europa League...

Bloody hell man, all I said was that the title should be changed after a significant figure in the saga said something that hasn't been mentioned before. I wasn't the one who said "OH ITS OVER, KILL THREAD". I admit my reaction is a little odd, but I was genuinely flabbasgastered at your initial reply to me in that I was being dramatic. All I fecking did was ask for the title to be changed. Can you seriously not appreciate that's what I was doing?

Thats crazy. Do you think thats down to euro 16 and him being the face? He just does not strike me as that marketable.
He's been the face of Adidas for Euro 2016, yeah. Ozil's been in quite a few ads and stuff too.

Sorry who's being defensive? :confused::lol:

uhm, he's a young black athlete that listens to American trap music and dresses like Kanye West. Who else fits that profile in football? The vanilla coated toast Messi? The ultra feminine Ronaldo? lol. It's 2016.

Who says he doesn't want to come to us? Ballbag?

Plus, even players that DO want to come to us, ie Mkhi, he's not being paid peanuts. Think it's around the £200k per week mark.

Also, why shouldn't Pogba be paid top money? His service is in demand, he should get paid the going rate. You can surely bet United will exploit him enough for their own financial gain!

Those days are gone for the immediate future. When we're back on top we can start to demand those type of players again.

Thank Moyes, LVG, and money rich clubs willing to fork out more than a player is valued for. Thank commercial sponsors, oil, and supporters who dump their hard earned money into the same players who play for money. Thank the Glazers, sheiks, Russian, and Chinese billionaires. Last but not least, thank yourself. You support this mad structure of free flowing cash that helps to line the pockets of the above. Why? Because you love it.

If we sign Pogba and it cost the club €125 million, just remember, it's not your money and if it wasn't spent on Pogba, it would be spent on someone else or dispersed as a dividend to the owners.

This, coupled with the fee, explains why he is getting criticism IMO. He would improve us drastically and is one of the best if not the best in his position, in the world, particularly for his age.

WTF

One thing, we offer to pay him the sort of wages that Real Madrid would be hard pressed to offer him at his current status. If he came here we could easily offer him £300k/week and some kind of profit sharing deal on image rights that could end up making him the highest paid French footballer ever. Its not all about the football imo plus the football project is coming along nicely since we have added Zlatan and Mhkitaryen to Martial, Shaw, Smalling and De Gea plus one could argue that signing him kind of completes us. With Mourinho around we could qualify for the CL with one of the strongest squads in Europe.

Madrid can match us in wages easily I also think they can match us in terms of the transfer fee but they simply dont see value in it for them. They dont see Pogba as the finished product yet, they would like to have him but they wont break the record fee for him. I am totally fine with the fee being talked about because we are swimming in cash and it wont make much of a difference for us. If I was a Madrid fan though I would really hesitate to say that they should pay that much money for Pogba.

Anyways its down to the player (as always) and I think he'll be happy to take a bumper deal until Madrid come calling. Juventus are one of the very best clubs in the transfer market in terms of buying top talent for cheap so I think they can decline the offer from United.

I would do anything for man utd but I won't do that.

Good luck finding a world class player who will do that in today's climate.

In the nicest sense, I think you two guys are just re-enforcing what I said.

Are we happy to settle for a bunch of merceneries like Abu Dhabi Athletic, Chelski and Al-Psg ?

Thought we were better than that 'cos it's a dangerous, slippy slope once you're on it.

he's an athlete that appeals to the modern youth. If you've used snapchat or vine, the culture is heavily influenced by American trap music. It's why the biggest musician right now breaking all sorts of records is a raper called Drake.

Pogba, unlike Ronaldo, is influenced by this culture. It makes him marketable.

I think Raiola's work is done whether he stays at Juve with a big new contract or moves elsewhere on a big new contract. Great work from him on behalf of his client (and himself, let's be honest)

being a professional athelete is a job. Hench, professional.

The only reason players would 'crawl over broken glass' to play for United in the past was because we were one of a few clubs that meant a big payday.

Now, there are dozens of clubs that can offer big money.

Get over this sentimentality. It's false. It's about the money.

The general consensus among the sensible posters who can rise above childish insults on Juve board seems to be, Pogba to Utd is a done deal. Their most reliable ITK who according to many has a near perfect track record said it's done and Juve is now trying to do other businesses before it being made public.

The other posters are also citing different sources who claimed it's a done deal. Apparently Pogba has expressed his desire to come back to United, and he and Jose have been texting each other for quite some time now. Someone whose cousin works at Adidas store said his cousin told him they stopped selling Pogba's shirt.

However, the BlueMoonish infants on there are still in denial (can't blame them actually because 'It ain't over till the fat lady sings') and carrying on with their thought provoking comments like "Feck United, why would Pogba go there it's a step down", "Thick Mancs can't get it that Juventus is far superior and we don't need their money", "Pogba won't go there and he'd move to Madrid (so it's OK to be Madrid's biatch )", "Retards on RedCafe think they're a top club", "It'd be hilarious when they spend 100m on Joe Allen".

At this point just like the Mkhi deal I'm starting to think it's nearly done. But people should not get carried away as 'It ain't over till the fat lady sings'.
I just had a read of the posts from that supposed ITK in their forum, and it's obviously someone on a wind up in collusion with the others on that forum, knowing full well that those posts will be read by United fans. They're not even being subtle about it.

On the subject of the transfer itself, it seems very much on to me. Lots of reliable sources claiming our interest in the player, the willingness to make a record bid, Juve being fairly quiet about it, and us buying 2 other Raiola clients, as well as Madrid seemingly pulling out of the deal. These recent comments by Raiola mean nothing at all in the light of similar comments before we signed Zlatan.

And obviously Mourinho on record as saying he has 4 targets in total.

No paedophile or rape jokes before anyone thinks of posting one. Should go without saying really but have to post it as I know what some are like.

Agreed.

As I said previously, £100 million for Messi, perhaps £50 million for CR7, then OK....

But £100million + £500k per week for someone who's already walked out on us once ?

These two have got form - wouldn't trust either of them further than I could spit them....

I'm not sure that is the public image that our club should be aspiring to though.

It is embarrassing that some one actually has to point this out. Not sure why, but I expected better from you mugs...

Words fail me.

why? The most marketable athlete in the world right now is a basketball player named Steph Curry. He is exactly like Pogba, minus the crazy hair styles.

Just because someone like rap music, doesn't make them a 'bad representative'. Barrack Obama dances to rap music when he's on talk shows.

Everyone in the world 'dabs', which is a dance based on marijuana inhalation. lol.

Some of you are living in the 1990s.
