If Madrid went for Pogba their best bet would be to deal with United for Modric or Kroos. That way slowing down United while generating the money. I don't think they're in the race. We're not seeing any links and who knows if the fax machine is working ;)

They could sell to someone else, but that wouldn't slow down United who have probably been working on this deal (if it's true), for quite a while.

Perez wont sell to us after De gea. Left him a bit salty after that. He is yet to do one over us before regular transactions can occur.

They signed Beckam, Ruud, Heinze and Ronaldo. They could be a little more thankful and send back the regards, no? Come on guys :).

I really am putting my head on the line here, but a united ITK from another forum says deal is close to being done. All that is being done is public posturing. I cannot post the name of the forum or any screenshot. I usually post in indian convo of any news i get. Since i see Rules are relaxed for ITK thing in this thread, i am posting this. The deal is 140 million euros. I do not claim to be right or an ITK, just read and posted here. Believe if you want, dont kill me for it.

Not seen this and I am a member on a few sites, unless I haven't looked hard enough!

No worries.

About Pogba and the marketing stuff - I usually think people like Tiger Woods, Federer, Bolt, Ronaldo, Messi - they are/were great at what they do - but also have this presence/charisma - and you can see why they're appealing. But with Pogba, I just don't get it - hence why I think it must be because I'm a little older (hence the age reference):)

Personally, I don't think there is much charisma in Messi. He doesn't do many interviews, especially in English. He is just a DAMN good footballer, hence is appeal. But the biggest factor in all this, it's the league Pogba is in. He doesn't get the exposure his talents deserve. If he came to us, he would be everywhere, especially the Aisan market. I think this is part of the appeal for Pogba to come here.

Also, I think he'd have a better chance of winning the Ballon d'or with us, because of the exposure.

Didn't Real win one league title in the past 8 years? Nerver was nor will be a fan of the galactico model.

I believe in balance in all things, sometimes you need to pay over the odds to buy quality, some times it comes from the acadamy. What matters isn't the price tag, but the right ingredients. If you need some egos, you also need some quiet fighters. You need experience, and you need youth, need discipline and yet need creativity, need talent but also need hard work.

I can see why in England, all that matters is the price tag. It about sums up the joke of a national team setup that has picked reputations over team-mates over the past two decades (Reputations = English players with a big price tag).

Yeah I agree with you. I was being a bit of a WUM tbh but there is defintley a place for buying top tier, proven talent. Not every summer, but if there is one player that will massively improve your squad and very few alternatives, he is worth it. I feel that Pogba fits into this criteria. Herrera/Basti/Carrick-Schneiderlin-Pogba has almost everything you could ask for from a 3-man midfield, energy, positional/defensive awareness, creativity. Without Basti/Carrick it is lacking in experience a bit, but Pogba now has 4 years at the very highest level and Schneiderlin is also experienced enough. There simply isn't a single player out there except MAYBE verrati who will fit so seamlessly into our midfield, and buying two 50m midfielders isn't an option either imo because at 5 new first team players you start unbalancing the squad. IMO anyway

I can't believe some of you are falling for the Juventuz itk. Throw his surname into google translate there.

Don't know if he is blacklisted but he is Italian and has 29k followers.

If true, no way would Pogba turn us down.

Just read a tweet from Guissepe Spaghetti, he rekons Juventus won't accept an offer until an offer is made. Hold onto your nobs gents.

I don't think anyone is "falling for the Juventus itk". We're just interested in what he had to say.

It doesn't hurt reading it. I just have and it's very interesting and goes into incredible detail and is quite plausible. Of course, it might be made up but again it's not harming anyone.

Do I think we'll land Pogba? Personally, no. I think he'll stay at Juventus for one more season and then go elsewhere.

If Madrid were going to swoop in on Pogba Marca would be all over it. The fact they have said Madrid aren't going to compete and are very quiet on it is the truth.

Juve can't reject 100m for 1 player, they just cant. They need to act like they are "considering" every angle and are trying their best to keep him. It'll happen I am confident of that, it's just too much money.

Jesus Christ, do you not have the ability to send him a PM?

So many threads recently with dozens of posts like this, it's ridiculous.

There's also a search in thread function which no one seems to use.

Good grief, Jazzy, they're about as charismatic as Pop-Tarts. On the field of play, yes, they are enigmatic and highly talented...much like Pogba. Granted that wearing glassless glasses and a waistcoat seemingly designed by the blind at award ceremonies does not make one Muhammad Ali, but that's what passes for personality these days.

Can I have a stream for the PM?

Agree on Messi. I don't see him as the charismatic type. Always comes across quite bland and dry.

I do think with regard to marketability that Pogba would be more appealing to the US market. And it seems the club have been busy trying to build up their reputation in the US with their growing appreciation for proper football. I can't see him being huge in Asia. I mean, imagine an American yelling Pargba and compare it to Pogah from Vietnam. Nah I can see the big black Frenchmam being a big hit in North America mostly.

The general consensus among the sensible posters who can rise above childish insults on Juve board seems to be, Pogba to Utd is a done deal. Their most reliable ITK who according to many has a near perfect track record said it's done and Juve is now trying to do other businesses before it being made public.

The other posters are also citing different sources who claimed it's a done deal. Apparently Pogba has expressed his desire to come back to United, and he and Jose have been texting each other for quite some time now. Someone whose cousin works at Adidas store said his cousin told him they stopped selling Pogba's shirt.

However, the BlueMoonish infants on there are still in denial (can't blame them actually because 'It ain't over till the fat lady sings') and carrying on with their thought provoking comments like "Feck United, why would Pogba go there it's a step down", "Thick Mancs can't get it that Juventus is far superior and we don't need their money", "Pogba won't go there and he'd move to Madrid (so it's OK to be Madrid's biatch )", "Retards on RedCafe think they're a top club", "It'd be hilarious when they spend 100m on Joe Allen".

At this point just like the Mkhi deal I'm starting to think it's nearly done. But people should not get carried away as 'It ain't over till the fat lady sings'.

Is it not possible we have hit a bump in the road since though? Things have began to feel a little negative over the last couple of days.

huh? they literally made it up to have a laugh at people here. it's working.

That one ITK has come out and admitted to make it up to wind everyone up or are you just assuming this?

I am not saying that this Juventus fan is an ITK, he is probably the biggest BS merchant on the internet. But none of us can claim whether he has sources or not as no-one actually knows.

It's Silly Season. We're all participating in a bit of silliness. It's either that or close the thread down and get back to the tedious Ronaldo v Messi debate which has been done 1,000,000 times at every football forum I have ever frequented. I know which I find more interesting anyway.

Raiola has done another interview this morning saying Pogba will leave only if he wants to.
I think he is trying to counter the accusations that he is the one pushing Pogba for an exit.

And by offering a new deal now puts the choice on the player. If he rejects it, Juve looks better in the end.

And this makes perfect sense from their point of view. Now they are just Juventus trying to buy players. After Pogba's sale, they're Juventus plus 120 mln Euro, which will make other clubs milk them whenever possible as they have the money.
Well if we can figure that out then so can any club dealing with them

Yes I have followed Di Marzio for over a year. He is the best journo out there in my opinion as are his co-workers David Amoyal etc.

You are entitled to your opinion but I will take the news from them over a random Juve supporter on an internet forum who of course is going to attempt to kid himself that the team he supports won't sell their prize asset.

Over a year you say? And what has he done to prove he is the fountain of all knowledge on Paul Pogba during this time?

There's a lot of people kidding themselves in this thread. I like the idea of signing Paul Pogba but there isn't a single shred of credible evidence that it might happen...and with transfers that actually end up happening there nearly always is.

Yes. According to some Juve fan. Way more reliable than Di Marzio, Simon Stone et al..

Do you realise how stupid that sounds?

I don't think it's done deal, but to compare Pogba to every other transfer that didn't come off, thus writing off evey hack as nonreputable is lazy argument.

It is less stupid than a 290+ page thread of people on the internet working themselves up into a frenzy about their team signing a player, based on pretty much nothing at all.

On what basis are these people who you say are reliable, more reliable than a Juve fan, or say, Paul Pogba himself, for example? Why WOULD they know anything? Are they Pauls best mates? Do Juventus or Pogba's agent just tell them everything that's going on for a laugh? Think about it sensibly for a few seconds.

Are you saying you've never heard of Di Marzio before?

Heard of yes...I've heard of lots of things that I don't go around the internet pretending to be an expert about. For example, courgettes.

He literally says nothing after this. Sounds like he's going to tell a bedtime story, but in the end we get a happy ending :D

Keys stating again he thinks the deal is done, however like many said his reliability is in question. Dont shoot the messenger I'm just here to fuel muppets.
