Ole's press conference vs Spurs

Journalists should ask him about running stats, and how its horrible and that he said he would have his teams run a lot when he joined. Ask some hard hitting questions ffs

Bunch of idiots called journalist asking shocking meaningless questions

Imagine being odd enough to expect any different. It was a standard Ole press conference.

I don't really expect anything different from him. However, the journalists are so...meh. They did not even try to get into a tactical discussion.

Half of them just asked the same question in different ways.

Its just poor, really. Nobody thinks, or expects, a press conference will turn into a tactical lecture. However, they could try to get him to say something about what he is trying to achieve. They could even have referred to previous games he's managed against Nuno, and whether he thinks he will need a different approach to deal with Nuno's tactics.

The fact they are basically incapable of any questions besides really soft or why don't you play Van de Beek more is terrible. It really is.

I know its hard to be a football journalist. I know you run the risk of being done by the club if you go in two footed. However, for there to be NO questions on tactics is pathetic.

You do not have to call Ole names or imply he is getting it wrong. Why not say: 'You have had success in the past against Spurs, defending deep and hitting them on the counter. Especially through Marcus Rashford. With Rashford fully fit is that an approach we might expect tomorrow?'

There you can give him an out, while inviting him to talk about the merits of counterattacking against the kamikaze approach we saw last Sunday?

Instead all we got was: How do you feel Ole? Are you alright?

Maybe they don’t want to waste a question knowing they’ll get something along these lines.

This is why we are where we are

Welcome to the worlds most pointless press conference.

Anything Ole says from this point will get ripped to shreds and taken out of context by the vultures in the media and his own fanbase. There is nothing he can say that will please anyone, he's a sheep among the wolves.

Very well choreographed presser from We Go Again FC. A sheep among shepherds.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Ole's at the f*cking wheel."

I have to give it to him, to end the press conference like that before storming out was absolutely brilliant.

It's not that people are expecting something different, it's that many are still in shock that he's actually still sat there giving a presser at all. To add it the media have barely asked him any challenging questions.

It's all very odd indeed.

Honestly with how the media treats him, he sounds and feels like a politician. No hard questions. No real answers. Just platitudes and vague responses that don't make him responsible for anything

I thought the cartwheel was a bit much but remembered it was a blatant tribute to the banned poster on here.

He looks like he always does - a man that can't quite believe he's managing Manchester Untied, knows he could lose his job at any moment and is giddy he's still clinging on somehow.

When he gets the sack he'll just laugh, smile and shrug "I did my best."

I cant understand how some of you call yourself suporters and want us to loose?
We lost some games, get over it!

im not sure the two things go together.

come kickoff i want us to win 100%, its just if we dont, ill be nowhere near as disappointed as before, certainly not in the last 20 years. its all just meh, regardless of what happens with the manager.

Nah, I think he's done regardless of what he does in the next two games. Is it Conte during the international break / Ten Hag with Ole staying on till end of this season is the question.

A shame the press let him off the hook with that line of questioning. Nothing to make him squirm even a little.

You are one of his LOYAL supporters, sure not the club. I dont expect you to say anything else.
I'm not sure if you're a bot which repeats 4 same posts over and over again or a real person.
I'm amazed you didn't use FANBOI in your post.

Ole's press replies since Day 1 of his tenure have always been about "motherhood" statements.

"If you cannot convince, you confuse".

I believe one could predict what a typical Ole's presser would sound like before even watching it.

I hope this would be his last presser for us, he's a fraud, never want us to lose a game but i feel losing this is the only way he gets the boost out.
Fraud is not a synonym for tactically inept manager, no matter how much you think it is.

Resign, respect less and shameless, taking about looking forward for next game with no dignity whatsoever.

Are you for real? Jesus wept. Why should he resign and lose the rights to what he is owed? Would you?

It's now on the club for not taking the decision. It's not his duty to sack himself ffs.

This forum is so incredibly naive it's incredible.

Anyone who jumps on his answers here with any kind of negativity is just being a prick. We know you don’t like him but you don’t have to act like a fecking child because you haven’t got your way.

I see you changed your instance on him, but I understand why, he failed you despite the fact you went on defending him for this trophyless 3 years.

"Yes, on both accounts, if that's short and sweet. Joking apart, we had a commercial day, Sir Alex came for some commercial stuff. We spoke for a brief moment because he was in there with Cristiano. I've been through some very bad moments as a player here and when I've been a manager. I've dealt with setbacks, there have been two or three crises at least since I became manager here and one thing I can say is I'll always give it a good shot and fight back."
Did he? Must be talking injury set backs because the odd heavy defeat under sir Alex isn’t the dross we’ve been fed in recent years.

Maybe they didn't want to kick a man when he's down?

I was waiting for him to announce Tyson Fury would be giving the team talk for a minute there.....!

He gets treated very differently by the media than Van Gaal and Mourinho.

I finally gave up hope on Sunday. Everyone gave up on him at some point you melt. I won't feel bad about supporting a club legend. He's done more for this club than you and I will ever do. Maybe he's earned some respect eh?

The Glazers and Woodward are now to blame for not removing him. Nobody should survive a 5-0 home loss to a rival team except maybe Fergie.
