Why is I've just found this band? Even though I knew two of their songs and loved them it never occured for me to listen to them. They remind me of Blue Oyster Cult, fecking quality but nobody else has ever heard of them.

Any big fans of the OCS on here? Just bought the Best Of.

Anyway, if the name doesn't ring a bell:

 
They're a great band...always liked them. Always incredibly overlooked when people harp on about Brit Pop & Cool Britania. They where better than Oasis thats for sure
 
They're more of a cult favourite that's for sure. Not many who know about them.
 
That song holds so many chilhood memorioes for me. Could listen to it all day long.

Great band.
 
The Riverboat song is amazing, albeit the riff does come from Led Zeppelin's four sticks but I'm happy to overlook that! Also loving Get Blown Away.

Interesting to read that Paul Weller helped them alot, I remember thinking of The Jam when I first heard the OCS.
 
They were quite good until Craddock got his head lodged firmly up Weller's rectum.

Weller on his own= Great.
OCS on their own= Quite good.
OCS trying desperately to ape Weller= Pass the shotgun.
 
Used to love them, their Mosely Shoals album was amazing.

I saw them a couple of years back in a really small venue and they were great, especially as I thought they'd given up at the time!
 
Mosely shoals is a fantastic album.

Seen them a few times and they're always very good, last time I saw them was an acoustic tour they did around the hard rock cafes, only a few hundred in attendance was great. Paul Wellers mum was there too.
 
They were great at Oxegen, I would've enjoyed them even more if I didn't feel like my eye was about to explode.
