Yay, PJ and I have found another Nightwish fan!
I like Nightwish, started listening to them about 6 months ago and I find they get stuck in your head. In a good way. Nice and dramatic.

Love Nightwish. I think it's the whole goth metal with a woman singer that gets me, 'cos I love Lacuna Coil and Within Temptation, too.

Nightwish and Within Temptation are the bands that got me into metal in the first place. I listened almost exclusively to these kind of bands for about 3-4 years. Saw most of them live multiple times as well.
If anyone of you lives around Belgium, the 'Metal Female Voice Fest' is a great little festival for this kind of music.
But now I'm starting to broaden my horizon a bit in the metal genre towards Death, Black, Doom, etc.
Been a Nightwish fan for years, they're great. I'm also quite fond of Within Temptation. I tried some of those bands, King Eric, but I couldn't really get into them.

Not a fan, although I do like "Nemo." And I find Tarja ridiculously attractive. Anette Olzon does not compare, IMO.

As you might have noticed, Tarja's English is quite crappy, but she's one of the best singers around in her genre.
Too bad she left Nightwish though. It's never been the same without her. The only song with the new singer that I really like is this (14 min) masterpiece:

I agree, it's a great album. Dark chest of wonders is a great song as well. The 'Century Child' album is great as well, although completely different from the rest. Definitely. I'm actually listening to it right now. The way I'm with music, I'll have one or two bands I listen to constantly for a while (sometimes more than two, sometimes just the one), and then I might not listen to it for a while. I've had quite a few "run-throughs" of Nightwish the past years, but it's been a while. I think I'll start listening to it more, though. I've got it all handily in a playlist.
Oh, and She is My Sin just came on. Another great song.
