Next PM | #NoMoBoJo | Still hanging around like a bad smell

Tbh that reads more as a PR firm being unscrupulous, rather than having anything to do with her views specifically. Not as bad as Bell Pottinger trying to spark race riots in South Africa a few years back.
I have no idea how much influence she had at that firm but never ceases to amaze me how there will always be a PR firm happy to work for a Mugabe and then cry when they get negative coverage over it.

I don't think borrowing and cutting taxes is a long term solution to battling rapidly rising inflation though.
On your link too, I'll give it a read, thanks. I'm curious what Sunak specifically could have done differently from Feb 2020 onwards to stop this. Or whether it was inevitability post Brexit + Covid impacts regardless of who was Chancellor.
Here's 3 starters for you. Tip of the iceberg.

He could've regulated energy prices in line with what most other European countries have done to reduce the impact of cost of living, which would in turn help drive the economy.

He could've not wasted billions during covid on failed schemes ran by friends of the Conservatives. E.g. track and trace £34bn and hundreds of millions on non existent PPE.

He could've not wasted £11bn of tax payers money if he had insured against interest rate rises as was recommended before interest rates increased.

I still think he's the best Tory leadership candidate though. Shows how slim the pickings are.

Thanks, I'll give that a read. My questions in this forum about what he should have done differently were genuine as I wasn't in touch with all the decisions as much.

Thank god for that. I mean the ones left aren’t very nice but she’s particularly nasty.

Hoping Truss fecks off next. Something about her obvious desperation to be PM makes me want it to fall apart for her. That and she’s an absolute weirdo.

Great news but she's going to have a massive ego and profile boost now which is shite as she's another dangerous person.
Imagine your entire platform being "anti woke". Alongside Boris' deep state shite I'm hoping that whoever remains doesn't start spouting the same pap.

Part if me wants her to win it because she will be an absolute disaster and an election or new leadership battle will be on the cards within 12 months.

The other part of me doesn’t want her to win it because she will be an absolute disaster and I worry about what that will mean for this country.

That said, I’m not sure if accidental damage will even be worse than the malicious, deliberate damage the other candidates will cause.

Yeah I got the feeling a lot of them ran just to get their names out there.

The Daily Mail are already twerking for Truss and finding any opportunity to slander Mordaunt. I don’t know much about her but I still find it ridiculous how a newspaper is allowed to show such obvious bias.

The right wing press all loved Mourdant initially but the DM went full on hatchet mode on her.

The horror...

Penny Mordaunt's co-author 'liked a tweet calling Tory members bigots'

It genuinely baffles me that this could be considered an appropriate issue to run a campaign for PM on.

Of course Liz has fanboy MPs. In a public appearance Sunak would crumble and get flustered. Truss would just lie the feck out of everything and everything would be okay because no interviewer or journalist would date point out that what she said was bullshit.

"I'm sick of cancel culture. Well, I'm sick of this cancel culture. The one we've operated for years against the left, immigrants and poor people was fine."

 At the notion that a non white Tory will be PM. They know they’d lose all their racist voter

It’ll be whoever is the most outwardly racist realistic candidate - in this case Liz Truss, no doubt whatsoever.

A G7 nation leader with a 5-letter name starting with Tru**. How many more times do we have to put up with this?

Honestly hilarious that Truss is going to be PM.

I reckon this is a team Johnson tactic. Pick the most bat shit crazy, incompetent successor to him to increase his shot at being the Tory saviour when the dust has settled.
