so
watched 24,lost,prison break, the wire,up to date with dexter
what is the next best thing to watch ?
nothing with doctors,and galactics

last time i asked for this kind of help you lot recommended me 24 and the wire
both brilliant series , thanks for that

Watching a lot of Bones recently.

Sons of Anarchy (season 2 starts soon)
The Shield
Rescue Me
True Blood (A friend recommends it, I haven't watched it though)

"6 Feet Under" is class. Series ended a couple of years ago. 5 Seasons in total. Guy from Dexter is one of the main characters. Great acting and brilliant storyline all the way through.

I should also mention The West Wing, which for me is the greatest show ever, but its not to everybody's tastes.

Sure you don't want something with doctors? :) Because House is brilliant.

I watched everything you have, except 24 (never understood the hype, only watched 1st and half of the 2nd season though), and I'd recommend: Sopranos (must see) and True Blood (quite good).

Or if you want something short and funny: Entourage and Weeds.

good calls bones and the shield , i like these police serials , sons of anarchy is still waiting for 5 rating votes on imdb

There is a new working of The Prisoner coming out with Ian McKellen. Might be good.
sounds interesting , when does it start ?

nah , i find these doctor stuff boring
24 on the other hand was great , loved it

True Blood is brilliant, just recently got into this as the first series is been shown on FX in the UK. Only reason I started to watch it was because Anna Paquin is in it and I think she's lovely.

Brief Sypnosis from Wiki:
True Blood details the co-existence of vampires and humans in Bon Temps (meaning "good time" or "good weather" depending on the context in French), a fictional small Louisiana town. The series centers on Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), a telepathic waitress at a bar, who falls in love with vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer).

Read the reviews at the bottom, sometimes people forget to rate it up top.

Yeah good call on True Blood this season has been excellent, cant wait for the finale

how would you rate it ?

good call , watched the two first episodes then i forgot about it

I would say 7.5 or 8/10. Has kept me intrigued, and I like the fact that it's not just another show about the mob or street gangs. I missed most of it because I deployed soon after it started, but I've caught most of the eps since I've been back and I enjoy it.

The ones I'm following/has followed.

Drama/Thriller

1. Twin Peaks
2. The Wire
3. Breaking Bad
4. Dexter
5. Californication
6. True Blood
7. The Riches
8. Heroes
9. Weeds

(I'm about to start watching Underbelly, Deadwood, Oz, The Corner, The Singing Detective, Generation Kill, Paranoia Agent, Wild Palms, and I managed to see 7 episodes of Six Feet Under before the hard drive crashed).

Comedy

1. The Office UK & US
2. Peep Show
3. Flight of the Conchords
4. Extras
5. Black Adder
6. Spaced
7. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
8. Family Guy
9. Arrested Development
10. American Dad

I wholeheartedly second this. The West Wing was probably one of the greatest drama series ever shown on television.

The first season, in my opinion, is actually its weakest, but it maintains an amazing level of quality all the way through.

If you're looking for something new that's excellent then, as someone else said, The Mentalist is good viewing. It's excellent, and Patrick Jayne has to be one of the most compelling characters on television at the moment, alongside Dexter Morgan and Gregory House.

Generation Kill is great , but why was it canceled ?

i looked into this , enjoyable 3 episodes , but something buggers me here , in every episode will be about a major case , meltdown ? like every episode different case ?

Just about, they will sometimes do two-parters or have something from a past episode crop up in a later one.

It's a very interesting show at the very least.

Generation Kill wasn't canceled. It was only supposed to by a 7 episodes mini series, based on a book with the same name.
That said, they probably would've continued the production had it gained more popularity in the US.

How could they have continued it? It ended when the war ended. It was never cancelled or anything, it was always supposed to be a 7 episode show, the same way Band of Brothers was supposed to be 10 episodes.

Anyway, some good recommendations already, Deadwood, Chuck, Rome (can't understand how you don't like it, it's incredible), Sopranos, True Blood etc

Surprised more people haven't mentioned Breaking Bad, it's fantastic.

The wait til Season 3 is quite long. :\

It didn't end when the war ended (if it has ended is even open for debate). It ended when their mission ended, the mission was invading Baghdad.
