My PS3 won't work on mt tv without the HDMI cable!!

Basically I need to take my ps3 round my mother's house and use it on my old, shitty tv. But it won't work on any other tv because it's video output is set to HDMI.

Now I'm trying to change it (using my hd so it will work on my old tv) tv on the ps3 'display settings' menu, it isn't recognising any of the other connectors, including the av/multi scart that is currently plugged into both the ps3 and tv.

Help, quickly, please help.

When you're turning it on, hold down the power button until you hear 3 lots of beeps. That will reset the display settings, and then will work with the scart cable.
