feck me, Moyes you/we everyone needed that

We were awful for 80 mins. But at last some proper fight. Get the feck in. 2 wins in a row now too. Cmon

Subs worked, worry about our play though, completely dependant on crossing. It doesn't utilise the talents of RVP, Rooney, Kagawa, Januzaj etc. nearly well enough.

Yep. I'm just not sure why we can't create from central areas with the kind of players we have.

For the first time since he arrived, I think he made the right subs at the right time. Fair play to the man; I think it shows he's learning!

Better opposition would have torn us apart.

Our defence is a shambles.

The first time this season we looked like a United team. Attack, attack and attack. This is what I want to see more often. The subs were good too.

Well done Dave! Even if we wouldn't have win it would have still been a nicer feeling than in some other games when we looked to not care and were afraid to attack. This and the game against Sociedad give me some hope for our future.

Serious amount of work to do in terms of our football it is truly appalling. As others have said least we showed a bit of fight and bundled in a couple of goals but we created hardly anything the whole game. Januzaj was class again but RvP continues to worry.

Great subs, our defenders have let him down big time, could be a turning point for us this season.

Made the correct decisions bringing on Januzaj, Valencia and Hernandez, but for me the decision that had the biggest impact on the match was starting Smalling when we're clearly setting up for overlapping fullbacks delivering our chances.

Smalling cost us the first goal and destroyed every opportunity of attacking down the right hand side plus slowed us down. I'm incredulous as to not playing for instance Fabio or Valencia even if Rafael needed resting.

At least we, for the first time, showed some fight, although most of it stemmed from Rooney and Januzaj. And Moyes at least seems to be getting more positive in his team selections. Still the football we play, it's really dreadful stuff.

He wont get anywhere near a trophy.

I'm not going to lie to myself just because he's the United manager. He's not good enough to manage our club. I really want to support him, but he's clearly the reason as to why we've been under-performing so far this season.

Smalling had a mare but he's capable of much more than this, can't fault moyes when players under perform.

Our midfield simply is not good enough, it's still incredibly obvious. Not much Moyes can do about that without making one or two big signings. I really think he, and probably others at the club, underestimated just how paper thin our midfield is - all though maybe did know seeing as he tried to make the signings but could only muster up Fellaini - I'm sure he's not fully to blame for that.

He definitely deserves credit for the substitutions today.

Some of our squad are performing way below the levels they are capable of and if it continues I would be in favour of clearing out a few.

Thank god he didn't put Fellaini on for Clevs. The good thing about Moyes is that we will not wait 5 years to sign a midfielder, it will be done very soon.

Well done to mr moyes for changing the game with his substitutes.

Our team that many people wanted to start the game failed to get going, so instead of sitting back and hoping for a bit of luck he threw the kitchen sink at them and won the game.

The telling sub for me was taking off smalling and throwing on Valencia, and moving Rooney to CM even after him moaning in the press that he hated it.

If that was mourinho today he would be lauded all over the papers, but instead it's a bunch of negative people blaming him for the players not basically being up for it.

WELL DONE MOYES.

Massive result for him. I was reassured that he didn't just wait and see what happens. He took decisive action with each sub and that led to us turning the game. He needed a game like this as well. It's the first proper sign of our famous fighting spirit.

We're seriously underperforming and he has to be the inspiration for everyone.

We're getting there, I guess. I still don't quite get how we are supposed to be playing but he's picking the better players, making better substitutions.

made good changes. Needs to be gutsy. but please for FFS get a dent midfielder in January. If we are about 5 points of the top after the Holidays, we will have an excellent chance.

I'm surprised he didn't let a few go this past summer but maybe he wanted to assess each one himself before making any changes. I still don't understand the Fellaini transfer though.

If Moyes can manage to grind out results and survive in the job until January then I think he will have a great career here if he can get his hands on a box to box playmaker and a central defender as I don't think Evans or Smalling will ever be of the highest class and it shows.
We seem to look like a 442 team of around 15 years ago in this moment with dour awful tactics but I guess that will only change if Moyes can get his hands on a player like Scholes in January who can open teams up through central midfield and control the tempo of games....Barkely or Koke please

The summer clusterfeck has cost us, simple as that. You attribute blame to many people, Moyes being one of them but it's ultimately cost us half a season already. We just need to keep it ticking over until January when we can do something about it, you can bet the house we sign a midfielder in January.

Fellaini was a squad buy that turned into a an expensive buy simply because we fecked around all summer and you can only hope all involved learnt from it. Losing Scholes (again) was huge, it wasn't dealt with by SAF before and it wasn't dealt with in the summer. The test comes with his next purchase, he can't afford to get it wrong if he fancies winning anything this season.

Midfield is the hub of our problem....but we've known that for fecking years.

To be honest, it is Moyes responsibility. He should have rectified it in the summer. Instead, he fecked off on holiday for 3 weeks at the beginning of his tenure, then dithered over everything else. Then spunked 27m on Fellaini....embarrassing.

He has made numerous selection mistakes and there are people in this team that need moved on. Give him time? Fair enough. That doesn't mean he cannot be criticised or questioned.

At least he made positive changes today
